So, the building my work is in shares the washrooms with everyone else in the building, which is about 8 companies with 3 washrooms.

It sounds like you had a bad day! Yes - we all have days like these. If I am in a hurry line-cutters do tick me - and I do speak up!

I'm sorry! How awful, I guess it's either, I'm in a smaller town, or I'm a whole heck of a lot pushier than you, because I don't get that much.... and when I do, I'm not nearly as nice about it!

On the bus, there's rarely standing room only, and people usually stand in the back because it's warmer, so that's not an issue here, but I do know what you mean about that... sorry.

Unfortunately because I work in New York City, these types of things happen a lot!
I let the bad mannered purpetrators get a good dose of my big mouth-no holding back here.
I think overall manners are on a downward trend and are seriously lacking in our modern society. Manners were huge in my house growing up, and I drummed it into my kids, but I see a serious lack of manners with todays youth with parents being the culprit, you have to teach by example and many a times I witness parents engaging in very rude behavior right in front of their kids.

I completely agree with you- parents need to teach children, and telling them does nothing to instill good manners if they don't PRACTICE good manners in front of their children!

That drives me nuts! I see parents with little kids cussing and being rude on the bus all the time, and there have been times when I spoke up. My kids don't ride the bus with me, since they're dropped at school or daycare first, but I would really be speaking up if they were with me! It's completely inappropriate, and the parents think nothing of it.

These same parents wonder why "society" has let their children down when it comes to education, health care, etc, etc....
