I saw this quote in a blog, ""make the best out of it. You can't change the situation, but you can change the way you look at it!... keep smiling, there is no better way to deal with it but many worse!""

And I thought it was good to share - but also thought we can share our smiles today!! :-)

What do you have to smile about?

I will go first - my house is clean! :-)

I have been doing medical billing for 20 years. I have worked in hospitals, doctor's offices and a billing service from hell. :-) I started doing it on the side last year in addition to my full time job. A friend of mine was billing for some speech, occupational and physical therapists for extra income while she went to nursing school. She graduated and no longer had time to continue plus the claim forms we use to bill insurance companies changed and that would require purchasing new software for about $3,000. I have gotten my clients from word of mouth.

I think it would be really hard to start your own billing business without having experience first. I took a 1 year college course back in 1987 and from there went to work for a psychiatric hospital in their business office.

Here is a link to a really good website that you can check out. It has all kinds of info about starting your own medical billing business and how to avoid purchasing training kits that are worthless. http://www.solutions-medical-billing.com/
