"he would have bragging rights to something..."

And have you asked him to stop and think how that would make YOU look if he's bragging to his buddies that you allowed him to have another woman in your bed... cause after the initial high-fives he might get from ONE friend you just look like a doormat and a sl*t.

The issue is he is trying to manipulate, guilt, bully you, into something (3some) that not only have you already tried (which is WAY more than most of us would do "for our man"), but have made it clear that its

You know I honestly can't see myself with another guy but I think I may have to suggest it the next time it comes up.

I feel I am wasting my time

I've read that the only thing a couple can't compromise on, is whether to have children.

After reading all of this again, I think there's a chance that he is wanting out, but doesn't want to be the "bad guy" who does the breaking up. If he's been pulling away on the affections lately as you said in the original post- then maybe that is it.

And with what Soonee said... he might just be trying to bring up all the factors that he KNOWS you don't agree with, in the hopes that you will just simply break up with him, saving him the trouble of doing it. He's talking about wanting kids... knowing that you don't want any more. He's asking for threesomes... knowing that you have already discussed it (and tried it!) and that you don't want that. If he thought you hated garlicky foods, he might start bringing you garlic bread. I really think that is what he is doing. He just doesn't seem to act like someone who is wanting to continue the relationship, or wanting to make things better, IMO.

So you can choose to hang on and see how long this drags out (and you both losing your own sense of being in the process, doing things you really don't want to do) or just call it quits. He wants things you don't want. You want things he doesn't seem to want either.

He doesn't seem like much of a prize to me- if he's wanting threesomes. I agree that it's just another way of trying to make cheating "right"- because it's supposedly okay with all involved. Phooey on that... having your partner have sex with someone else is cheating, whether you are there to see it or be a part of it or not.
