Alison-
I couldn't agree with you more!!!
OH YES- that's another one!
My friend L had that problem with her dh- she would ask him to babysit the kids and he would complain... how are you babysitting if you're not charging cash??? LOL!
If that's the case, I wanna babysit and get paid for it!
I guess technically they are 'single' and they are a 'father', but the combination?
Well, the babysitting thing makes it sound like a CHORE when it should be a duty and something enjoyable.
I think this is why the accountant who lived a bit too far away got thrown in the trash. His email made it sound like he was pooped after dropping off and picking up from two events and feeding them dinner. I mean, what is dropping off and picking up? And don't you have to make dinner for yourself anyway. UGH. It is not like they asked him to be the IronChef for heaven's sake!!
You nailed it with the word 'chore'.
I know exactly what you mean!

Yeah, that bugs me.
I dunno if I can agree, at least not with my ex..
He only sees our daughter alternate weekends, but he does a great job with her. He's jumped through every hoop I demanded in court, including parenting classes, first aid, even going so far as requesting Children's Aid to inspect his place and monitor a visitation. He does a lot with her, and while he has no decision-making responsibilities, he does his best to stay informed and involved. DD doesn't live with him full time, but I would legitimately call him a single dad.
JMHO tho.
(Wish he'd meet some girl tho.. he makes me uncomfortable still being single!)
