I am trying to learn the same lesson. I realized recently that I have conformed to all my significant others needs in past relationships and that I am not doing that anymore.

There's a fine line between 'conforming' and 'compromise', and sometimes it's tough to know which side of it you're on!

True. I think I have taken compromise too far. If its to the point where you are not getting any of your important needs met then its become conforming. If youre getting those needs met but some lesser needs arent being met and you can live with that then its compromise.

Hows that for a definition?
