Endearing Nicknames

Laurie's posting of having her current beau calling her the same endearment as his ex gf ("my dear") caused me to think about how many unique nicknames can we give our current dear ones without repeating ourselves?
I don't consider myself a player (married 19 years, been with ex about 25 yrs) and had a couple serious relationships post divorce.
I have called my then wife "honey" and "babe.

I've never been "into" pet names. Mainly because most seem sickenly horrible. Before I got married my best friend called her fiance snookems and bear-bear. GAG! Can you imagine? I can't stand Honey or Hon either.
In my marriage I never used a pet name for him. I just called him a shortened version of his first name. He called me Kel which is my life long nick name (short for my real given first name).
BE calls me Sweetie. I like it... it has grown on my. I have never heard him refer to anyone else as Sweetie. He said it just fits me. I don't really have one for him except occasionally I call him "baby" or babe.
I call my daughter Sweetheart.
"Miss"
Thats a cute one!
BE will teasingly call me 'Short Order' sometimes because when I said I was fed up with work and might as well go flip burgers for a living he said he'll love my anyways.
I love it when he leaves me voicemails, because they always start out the exact same way:
"Say there Miss, tis I.."
WHERE DO I BEGIN??????? I AM A HUGE HUGE person on nicknames, so here they go:
All friends and family members are: darlin - REGARDLESS of how long I know them. And if I know a person at the grocery store long enough, then I'll begin calling them that too.
Then for my kids it's: schnookie, abba, nuschie, ninja, sweet-pea, pumpkin nose, sweet cheeks, snookie-snoo-snoo, love-bug, etc etc
Then for the men, it's babe, darling, honey, hot-stuff, sexy, etc etc
heheheh.
I just finished reading Laurie's post and was thinking about pet names, when I saw yours.
I'm like Cat-- I like nicknames and pet names, as long as they aren't sickingly sweet.
I have never been big on pet names with a significant other although after 5 yrs I sometimes catch myself saying Hun or Honey to the ex...yikes!! I do call DS "boo boo". He is my boo boo and I am his boo boo. It is something special just between the two of us. I have no idea where it came from; it just popped out of my mouth one day and it stuck.
Growing up my Dad had pet names for his girls. Mine was Sugar.
Well I call Duck Fan Baby or Handsome or Brat. He calls me Baby or Sweetie or "Five Feet of Fury" (in reference to my height being 4 foot 11 3/4 inches and I round up).
Isabella is my Princess, Josephine in my Baby Doll, Hannah is my Angel, and Natalia is my Kitten.
Grammy (my mom) calls them BellaCub, JojoBug, HannahBird, and TashaCat. I was JeniBear growing up.
And I randomly call people honey, sugar, and darling all the time.
