Endearing Nicknames

Laurie's posting of having her current beau calling her the same endearment as his ex gf ("my dear") caused me to think about how many unique nicknames can we give our current dear ones without repeating ourselves?
I don't consider myself a player (married 19 years, been with ex about 25 yrs) and had a couple serious relationships post divorce.
I have called my then wife "honey" and "babe.

Mark, I am out of ideas for sweetheart names. Sometimes babe for EMT.
I have a ton of names for kids though, mostly corny. But my kids are used to the clown they have for a mom. My Allison is Ally Wally or Al Pal. Kim is Kim a lim a lim. Or Kimbo. Or Kimbonator. Ali calls her Kim a lim a bing bong. THey both are Kiddo. We have a million more for the dog and bird that get even cornier.

I've never had a problem using pet names.
I'm fond of sweetie. And Mechanic has recently started calling me babe which I don't mind. I am realistic that I'm not the first to be called babe by him, but I think if I overheard him call or refer to someone else as babe while with me, it would lose all significance for me and I wouldn't like it anymore. jmo
friends call me Mrs. Rattie which is a take off on my last name, but in reality I'm just fine with them calling me by my first name
Oh, Gee, B--- I can't imagine why on earth you don't like THAT nickname. LOL!
