I have been lurking long enough now. Thanks to Rebecca (rlch- Hi Rebecca!), I found this board and have been peering around the corner for probably a good month now.

I'm a single mom of two living in Dallas and working my way through college. I will graduate in a year and a half and then start my masters in Genetic Engineering. For now I work in a daycare, only because I get 1/2 off tuition for my children. My hat is off completely

Hi Debra! Thank you for the warm welcome. I can see how this board will be a huge support. :)

I love gardening, too. I am already looking forward to spring when I can landscape my bf's 2 acres. LOL!

Hello and welcome. Nice to meet you. I am Jen (29)- mom to four girls Isabella (10), Josephine (9), Hannah (6), and Natalia (18 months). I separated from xh in July 2005. Was dating my high school sweetheart in 2006 until I moved to Oregon in October of 2006- right after I moved I got the positive pregnancy test and that is how Natalia came into our lives and I stayed single from the time I moved here until a week and a half before she turned one. Started dating DF (37 never been married no kids)in June of 2008- met him at work. We are doing very well. He hasn't met the kids yet but we've discussed it.

I hope you are having a very happy holiday!

Hi Jen! It is nice to meet you. Thank you for your introduction and welcome. I am completely humbled by the fact that you are a single mom to four. I can barely handle my two.

All four of your girls are beautiful! The one on your left in your siggie (your oldest?) looks alot like you. :)

They are good girls for the most part. The one on my left is Josephine- my #2 and it's freaky how much she looks like me. She's even the only one of my girls short for her age (I am not quite five foot even. Isabella, my oldest, is a quarter inch taller than me.) But I have to say I am humbled- I admire those who adopt children and give them a home. That shows your heart is bigger than the average bear and I consider it a privilege to say hello to you.

Hey B. I guess I didn't realize that our relationships are pretty similiar as far as waiting for kids to get older before moving to the next level. I love how OK you are with it. I'm getting to that point

Hi B, nice to meet you.

I guess I am another one of the "odd ducks" around here, too, then. I don't have a desire to be remarried, and neither does G, my bf of 5 1/2 months. Like you, we might move in with each other after I am done with graduate school, but that is a few years from now. We'll see.

Thanks for the welcome. :)
