Fabulous weekend, too....

This weekend was just too crazy... but totally fun and I have a ton of stories... Where do I start...
Saturday morning... my FWB called at 5:30 AM on Saturday... He was going out of town and wanted to come over for a little something before he left... And as crazy as it was, I agreed. I'm feeling as much of a conquerer as he is and I'm glad I got that out of my system... I wouldn't be surprised if he never called back, but I don't think I really want him to... it was what it was. He was cute and I satisfied my curiousity.... That sounds terrible when I put it that way... Actually, it was fun, adventurous and spontaneous... Just what I needed.
Now, with that out of my system I was hoping that I could enjoy a night out without feeling like a "predator".... and for the most part it must have worked. I met 4 guys total Saturday night... not all of them dating material but I felt like I was ON.
My girl friend and I started at karaoke... we hadn't been out together in quite a while... don't know how I did it but my mom watched the children OVERNIGHT Saturday. Wooohoo... I suppose I was so happy and free... I didn't have to worry about what time or worry about not getting a good night sleep once I got home.. that was a freeing feeling ... so I was in a good mood right from the start.
And then my friend ordered mcdonalds... and cracked me up. She was thinking of my son and that he would like the toy so she says... "get me a happy meal with a boy toy." HA HA HA. Laughing hysterically I said, "now that's a HAPPY meal". Too funny....
So that good mood must have been attractive. And I had a good buzz going, too. I saw Jeremiah (26 yr old, moving to California). I thought, well, since he's leaving I'll say bye. I had a fun, short conversation with him. Told another guy, Larry, that he sounded like American Idol material. Larry turn out to be an a-$-$ but before then, I told him the McD story. He couldn't make up his mind if he was interest in me or my friend. He wasn't my type anyway but it was annoying that he was trying to flirt with both of us.
Then a new guy came over to talk to me... His name is Alan and he's 30... we didn't talk long but I got a good vibe. I think he was telling me about his favorite tequilla drinks ...honestly I can't remember what we talked about but we laughed... because I'm a silly flirt. Oh yah, I was trying NOT to wear my glasses but he said he thought they were sexy.
Anyways, I knew the plan was to go to the coworker party at around 10:30 or 11... Hmmmm. I thought, I won't be able to get to know Alan in that short time... What to do, i thought. Well, I just watched the movie "Good Will Hunting" on Friday, and remembered the part where Mini Driver just gave her number to Matt Damon.... So, I thought, I'll just do it.
I wrote out my name and phone number. Went up to Alan, told him I was leaving to a bday party but here's my number. Sure enough, he called twice that night after I left but I didn't hear the phone when I got to the party... but let me not get ahead of myself.
So on to the party... time to dance on the counter tops again.. why do guys think that is sooo hot, seriously. Anchor Guy was at the party, he says "it's my party all over again." I've never even seen the movie "Coyote Ugly" but now I'm going to rent it. Anchor Guy said to me, "I think it's really cool that you dance on people's counter tops..." "I'm gonna have to have a party just for you..." Wow, that was a cool comment. But I'm not taking him seriously yet.... The host of the party was the Producer that I work with. He does have a girlfriend now, but we had a friend bonding moment. I had to move my car so he came with me to show me the "overflow" parking area. And while we walked back to his apartment that was our moment. He said, so I heard you danced on my countertop... I said, yah, and I learned some new dance moves from watching the drag queen show last week. Then I twirled around to demonstate. He said, sorry i left early but my girl wanted to do the thing. And I said, "The thing, ya gotta do the thing," like I was one of the guys. And we laughed. He hugged and kissed my forehead almost everytime he passed by me at the party. That's the "you're-like-a-sister" gesture, isnt' it?
And I always have fun when the guys pull out the guitars and we try to remember the words to a whole bunch of songs. I talked to two new guys at the party, but wasn't attracted enough to get their number. The party was really fun. I am happy with myself and how well I mingled. :-)
So, when I left the party at 2:30 am I saw that I missed two phone calls. Alan. His message was like "Hi, this is Alan. You gave me your phone number at ." It was too late to call back but bright and early he sent me a text message. "Whatcha doing tonight?"
I had too much going on at home on Sunday to go out again. I texted back that I was staying in. Then, he texted me an invitation to dinner. How sweet... a real date. But i had to decline. I almost called him instead of just sending a reply. But, i didn't. I hope I do hear from him again. A dinner date would be very nice. He was good looking and I had a good feeling about him. (accept for the text messages... I would have prefered an actual phone call... perhaps it's because it was the first day after we just met...)
Sunday was really fun too because my mom cooked barbeque steaks. yummy. And my brother came over too. In fact I packed the leftover for lunch and it is calling my name.

Sounds like a fun weekend! I like the way Alan sounds, but be aware that he may just be looking for sex. Totally cool if you are, but don't get too invested until you know for sure.
