I was hoping to gather good date ideas here. What are some of your favorite date activities (besides the OBVIOUS - LOL!!) - I mean - like going to the movies, to a park, the beach, etc.

What are some of the things you have done?

I love amusement parks. One of my favorite summer dates is a day at the amusement park. Since the nearest one to me is about three hours away, it's a full day, with a long ride for talking and lots of stuff for fun.

I also am a sucker for the simplest things- like mini golf- shows how good a sport he is, how good a sport I am, and you can talk while still doing something.

I live near a TON of waterfalls, so anyone who suggests a hike to one and then a picnic at the top is sure to get a "heck yeah" from me.

I really think though that my favorite dates are really just sit-ins at home with a good movie or music, snuggled up talking. This obviously only works well when you already know the person.

Moody, thinking her dates are pretty tame

Ditto on Moody's ideas. I'd also add anything of interest that the two of you have in common. For M and me that is skiing and sailing. Things that get you out doing something while still able to talk and get to know one another are always good. Around here that is hiking in the mountains, going to Spring Training games, gallery hopping, mini golf, bowling. Once we actually had a date where we went shopping together at Price Club (or whatever it's called now).

I've been to amusement parks, bowling, toy stores (very fun), played pool, darts, gone to karaokes to just listen to the misery, fishing. Pretty much the same everyone mentioned, beach, mini-golf, etc, etc. but I love just bbq'ing and then making smores in someone's backyard.
