Feeling so drained!

Anyone else feeling drained? I am just exhausted! School just started up for both the girls and myself and already I am DRAINED! I feel like I haven't slept in months! LOL. I am glad that I finished the major event and work, but now I am catching up with all my other work that I had to leave alone until our Office Event was done.

Feeling so tired has gotten me bummed out all around!

I don't have anything to yucky going on in my life right now.

My class has started off with two major papers I had to write last week and one major one this week. All the paper work that needs to be filled out for school for the girls and making sure our morning schedules are in order and timely.

Things are at a nice quiet stand still as far as dating. I am supposed to have a date with choir boy tomorrow, but I think I will cancel it today. I just don't really feel in the mood to date anyone right now. Even meeting someone seems tedious. I'm so up and down about it. I think I want to, but once the option is open, I just rather leave it. I think the last few months have been so much of a roller coaster that I'm even too tired and dizzy to meet for a drink. LOL. My quiet seems so much nicer right now.

How is everyone's week going with schedules and kids back to school? Anyone else feeling out of sorts? I hope to get some sleep tonight and feel perkier tomorrow.

Me too. You're not alone!

My DD went back to school and over the summer I had almost forgotten how much time and energy it takes for a girl to get ready for school. Getting her outta bed, then she's got to have the perfect outfit, then I try to make sure she eats breakfast, has her homework in her backpack, oh and let's not forget about the tantrums in the bathroom when she's having a bad hair day..LOL.
And then the struggle of getting her INTO bed at a decent hour is a chore! She hates her 9:30 bed time. But, I enforce it for a couple reasons. First of all, she needs her sleep even if I have to make her get it, other wise she's awful the next day! And also..I really need my evening time. I need her to be asleep so I can have an hour or two alone at night to get my head straight. Off to work in the morning, then with DD all evening. Those few hours of solice are invaluable!
I can totally understand your desire to cancel dates and just be alone for a while. I really get that. It's great your'e going to school, I wish I had the motivation, time and energy do that. AND you have TWO girls?? How do you do it? :O)

~I'm so ready for a vacation...and it's only day three of our new school routine *gasp*

I am trying to reinforce bedtime at 9:30, but last night when I got home at 10pm they were still running around and they waited for me to get home to EAT and do stuff! Even though I specifically told them to be in bed. :(
I will have to start making sure that they are in bed on time from now on and then disciplined accordingly for not listening to me. I know this week it's going to slide a little because its all new, but I have to nip it before it gets to be crazy.

AND YES! Two girls 7 & 14 with SERIOUS female issues. Thank GOODNESS my hair is so short now. I have to run after them all morning to make sure they are on track. Drives me CRAZY!

I can't believe it's only been 3 days! Thank goodness for Labor Day! I need it! : )

I've been reading everyones posts on this board for a few days and I just had to respond to this post. What is it that I just can't seem to get motivated to do anything? It seems like I just get the bare minimum done and that is just exausting. Now add getting the boys ready for school, getting them packed for the weekend with their dad, and trying to get the month end accounting stuff done for work, I'm wiped. Anyways, without the boys this weekend, I should be able to get organized and relaxed. (doesn't usually happen though - I just end up going out and making things worst LOL)

LOL!!!! you crack me up. My daughter usually takes forever and she doesn't even brush her hair usually. I have to send her back up stairs.

My daughter went through that stage of not brushing her hair for like 2-3 years. Drove me nuts. I eventually let peer pressure get to her.

Personally, I'm just drained because it's Wednesday. For some reason either on Wednesday or Thursday I'm that way. I have the luxury of going home on my lunch hour (I get an hour) and on one of those days, I take a power nap of like 15-20 minutes. Don't really fall asleep just make my self lie down, close my eyes and relax. Seems to help me out the rest of the week.

"My daughter went through that stage of not brushing her hair for like 2-3 years. Drove me nuts. I eventually let peer pressure get to her."

My DD did that too. One day she got a little razzed by friends and she came home and said "why did you let me go out like that??" I was like "Hand..meet brush..."
Now in fifth grade suddenly it's like she's paris hilton or something. Or Marsha Brady..100 strokes...99...98... LOL!
(As I tap my foot by the door sighing and looking at my watch).

I started my new job part time, but haven't finished my old one yet, so I'm working both this week. It's not a ton of overtime, but right at this moment, I'm feeling every second!

I have been trying to get everything in order for the big move, which means lots of phone calls to all the concerned parties, and making sure everything is hooked up in a relatively timely fashion, beyond all the usual moving crap like sorting and packing and moving.

Not only that, but I've also had to change daycares, and just finding one was like a part time job. Luckily, my aunt will be watching them, which will be great for them and me.

The kids start school next week, so I had to transfer them to the new one, shop for their things, and I still have some things I need to get.

I'm trying to get the kids used to their new routine of early down early up, getting ready and dressed quickly, and getting them used to being more organized, which is hard to do with the craziness of moving going on at the same time.

I feel like I've been running in circles chasing my tail for days!

I'm currently taking comfort in knowing this is all very short term. By this time next week I'll only be working one job, the kids will have started school and we'll be settled in the new place.

Moody, who could go for a hot bath (if only she had a tub!)

Hey Cat - I know how it goes right now with the getting back in the school routine. My days have been in a tizzy lately too. And now that DS is in middle school there seems so much more to do - new uniforms, all sorts of school supplies that require work to tab and cover books, on and on. And I have been busy with my work to where I get up early and run crazy all day. So I understand. I think somehow we just have to hang on and then all of a sudden we come upon some clear and quiet water.

Moody says it best, "I feel like I've been running in circles chasing my tail for days!"

BRAVO!
