Purple...

SOmehow I can feel every emotion in your post...and I am so sorry that you have had to endure such antics and pain for TWO years now. It is a good thing, however, you are finally free of it.

Oh hugs, Purplelibra!!! That sucks that your birthday got ruined by all this mess!

But I'm glad you could see him so clearly (even if he can't see himself) and could get out. Yeah- LOL about the breakup having to be HIS idea- but he can take credit all he wants, as long as he goes away and doesn't keep coming back to hassle you.

That's sad for him that he's had such a bad past when it comes to relationships. It would explain why he might have such trust issues... but it's still HIS issue that he needs to work on repairing, or he will just be toxic to any other relationship he gets into, like you said. Trust issues mixed with control issues... what a scary mix.

I'm posting with the 'hugs' icon, but I also want to use the 'celebration' one too- for your birthday and for your freedom!

I know it is hard on you now because you miss the companionship and calls. But you did make the right decision for yourself. Hang in there!!
