I think we did this last summer, I added some we all related to like veterinarian, and a few unique to where I live- snake charmer ( I only handle the non-poisonous type- call the fire dept to get the rattlers) and arachnid catcher- tarantulas a a catch and release proposition, smashing them would be a mess!

He has his learner's permit right now. You have to drive for 6 months on that before you get your "regular" license. His Dad is doing the home school driver's ed. Personally I would have preferred a driving school.
I don't think they have a restriction in Texas about driving with other teens in the car. Luckily he is a very cautious driver. (Unlike me at his age!!) He also said he won't ever talk on his cell phone while driving and I believe him.
I do pretty good when he is driving with me. Only a couple of grab the door handle tightly moments!
Steph
I have TWO teenagers that drive
Fun, fun, fun. I've gotten through both my boys learning to drive. They both flunked the written the first time, because they both expected it to be easy, common sense stuff. I didn't allow them to have teen friend passengers for the first year of driving. Wait til he gets his first speeding ticket and first parking lot accident. There is the upside of not having to drive them to school or various activities (I didn't miss those 5am treks to swim practice).
