So, I work part time at a fitness club in the office. And I get there today, and the manager says to me, "you just about gave someone a heart attack when they saw you yesterday!" I was so confused, thinking that maybe I almost hit someone in the parking lot or something...
Anyways, I guess when I left yesterday, this guy went up to her and asked, "is that girl's name Alison?" She said yes, and he started going on and on about how he dated me for like 3 years on and off, and that I was the love of his life...
So she tells me all this, and I'm like, WHO???
LOL! I hooked up with the guy like twice when I was 15, and saw him again 3 yrs later at a bus stop. I ended up dating one of his friends even.
So I'm just killing myself over this, it's toooo funny that he was saying all this stuff to my coworker... I ended up calling a girlfriend of mine from high school who knew him, and she couldn't believe he would say these things either. She figures that he's just trying to be a player and get something... LOL
Now, apparently he works out at the gym a lot, so there is a BIG chance that I will actually run into him... but what in the world do I say?? I don't even know if I would recognize his face if he talked to me, I barely knew his NAME!!! My friend suggested that I poke fun at him saying the love of his life...
What do you guys think???
Alison

I say go with the flow - talk to him - see what he says. You will know what to do because you will have a sense of his interests - that is hard for most men to conceal (LOL!!).
I think he had that reaction because he had once really liked you and now he felt surprised and fortunate to run into you again.
I am assuming you are now single, right? If so then this could be lucky!! What a nice compliment!!
Keep us posted!!
Hahaha...that IS too funny Alison. I guess 2 dates IS pretty OFF and on. :) Did you correct his rewriting of history to your manager? I would...if he's that "inaccurate" I wouldn't want to be associated with him.
I wouldn't say anything to him unless he brings up the subject. Sounds like he's trying to look good to the manager? Or maybe he's hoping to strike something up with you. Unless he was an old friend, I wouldn't bother, especially since he has such a convenient memory.
But you're in a great relationship with a great guy, right?
LOL..too funny!
Kim
LOL, thanks for the "little psyche" thing. Made me laugh...
:)
I know, that's what I think is sooo funny too~!
But since I do have a great guy, I'm not too worried about chatting this guy up anyway...
