Funny Dating Horror Story 1

So here's a story I was thinking about this week.. thought I'd share.
My daughter would have been about 9 months old, because my ex and I had just started all-day-Saturday visitation (9a-6p). I had arranged to go out with this one guy on a first official date. We had been talking for a couple weeks, and we were going to go to a movie that afternoon. I had agreed to meet him outside a local mall, right in the downtown of my city, thinking, if anything did go wrong, public place = safer right?
So I was sitting there, in nice clothes but not too revealing - just a nice top and jeans. It was a nice afternoon, so I was outside, sitting on one of the benches. A car pulled up, and the window rolled down, and the guy (not my date) inside motioned for me to come over. Thinking it was someone needing directions I approached the car. To my horror, he asked me "How much?"
I was confused, and by the time I realized what he meant, he had seen my confusion, and taken off in a cloud of exhaust.
Apparently, outside that mall was where all the prostitutes hung out.
My date never showed up btw.
So my lesson: stay inside the mall when meeting a guy! Lol!
On the plus side, at least I looked good enough to be mistaken for a hooker, even in just a t-shirt and jeans!!

omg..that would have been embarassing...but, its pretty funny! LOL
I have been stood up by a date too! he works nights..and fell asleep..stood me up! it was humilating..cause everyone knew about the date that night! lol
OMG! LOL. It' funny but it's not funny.
The "no show" is definitely not funny.
I LOVE the Shaw quote in your signature. I'm going tell my 13dd that one. She's at that age where she -her words: "doesn't know HOW to act," and is having difficulty with just being herself.
I later had a thought and have you to thank.
My daughter has been grounded from her cell phone for 3 weeks..she gets it back tommorow. I printed the Shaw quote on a piece of pink paper and have wrapped her cell phone in it. She is kind of "deep" so maybe this will give her something to think about.
Thanks for the idea.
