while things are going great here with Biker and our upcoming wedding (very small and simple event with only family) I have been wondering why my Ex wont return my $. He has borrowed about 6000 to 7000 $

ITA--I loaned my DD father money for the down payment on his house and to buy me an engagement ring--he bought a very large tool box (he is a mechanic) and bought the house without giving me a penny.

I doubt you have any legal recourse without some sort of written agreement. Even then it probably would be tough to enforce. Even if you took him to court and they awarded you the money how exactly would they force him to pay? It is hard enough to get delinquent child support paid and that is court ordered.
