How about THAT icon! lol
Ok, seems a few of us are not-so-happy with the old winter weight we have put on, or the shape we have let ourselves get OUT of.
So ... log in here with your goals. We will try to post daily about our progress, or lack OF it :( & any tips we find along the way.
How's that sound?

Ok, i JUST got on the scale, & I am 30# more than I was in June, in Italy last year. WTF??? Crazy! Yeah, I am still 20# less than my fattest, but that's not too far away!
After the 48# weight loss last year, I even made myself a b4 & after album, to motivate myself NOT to gain it back. YET ... here I am, 30# heavier! Here it is if you want to see, in black & white (well, in color, lol) what a huge difference weight makes in appearance. Ugh!

LOve the pics! I think this is a great idea! I don't have a scale but I am likely 15 - 20 lbs heavier than I should be. I am likely somewhere between 140-145 and I should be between 125-130 (I am only 5'2"). I move in one more week and I am guessing that I will swing into "Must look totally hot for Summer" mode once the move is over with.
I will be getting back on my treadmilland possibly joining a gym. In the past I was successful with doing a video work-out (a really old Buns of Steel one with a guy leading the class - silly but effective.) And I also jogged twice per week for approx. 20 mins and walked as much as possible. I was in fabulous shape when I was doing all of that. I would love to feel that good about myself again.
My STBX saw me working out last week and he flipped out on me because I didn't do that when we were married. I actually did have a personal trainer come to the house every Tues & Thurs morning at 5:30 am for three months but I guess that doesn't count!
Oh well - I am doing this for me, cause I am loving life right now!

It is difficult to keep off the weight once it has gotten there. And I'm joining the weight loss goal here since I've gained 10 lbs in the last year- after a lifetime of having no more than a 3 lb swing in my weight. M has lost 10 lbs since the beginning of the year. Hmmm, just slipped over on to me-LOL. For me exercise has been the key to keeping my weight stable and I've been too crazy busy plus I'm not eating as well as I used to. Plus, as M has observed, stress will burn calories and I'm just not perpetually stressed out like I was when I was married. But I refuse to buy bigger clothes!
My sister lost and is keeping off 75 extra lbs so it can happen. She did it almost exclusively through exercise, specifically walking every day- like a religious rite, she does it EVERY day. No excuses. Although I think she may have taken some time off recently because she's been going through breast cancer treatment, they caught it very early, she's going to be fine.
So my plan is to get my butt back in the gym 3x/week and watch the sweets. I also put the pictures of myself at my ideal weight where I can see them so I can visualize my goal and stay positive. I am getting older so I know it's going to take more exercise to acheive the same goals as my metabolism naturally slows down.
Ok girls, I am in.
I had lost 30 lbs just before and during the first year of separation/divorce.
When my ex moved out of state, the stress of ultimate single-motherhood kicked in big time. I have now gained back those 30 lbs and then some. My goal is to drop fifty pounds over the next year. Possibly 60 if all goes well, but 50 is very realistic.
Goal number one -- During my planning hour at school, I have been doing a 15 min walking video. It is only 15 min but that is more than I was doing before.
My biggest issue is soda. I can't have any artificial sweetner so I can't have diet. I am a pepsi junky. It kills me everytime.
Goal number two -- no more than one pepsi a day for the next two weeks and then none.
Good luck,
Jen
I'm totally in. Three years ago I was at my heaviest, and started excersizing and totally quit soda of all kind, and the weight seemed to melt away. In total, I lost about 150 pounds. I've gained about 10 back, but all in my face, I swear...
Now, I'm sooo busy with work, excersize is literally the last thing on my list. I try to walk or jog on my lunch break, but I don't always get one and often have to run errands during it when I do. I also snack A LOT, and don't eat any regular meals.
I'd like to lose 25-35 pounds, but would be happy to lose 15. I have also started drinking Diet Soda, which I should replace with water.
My goal is to not be drinking any diet soda, cut my coffee intake in half, and walk at least three times during the next two weeks.

Yes - I'm in too! I managed to drag myself to the gym yesterday, and refused a lunch invitation. That was tough. I just love eating - to me, it's one of the great pleasures in life.
After my second baby, I weighed 190 pounds, but did a radical diet and got down to 136, which is a good weight for my height (5'6"). Now I put on some weight, and am up to 147, so I guess I have 10 or 11 to lose to get back to a comfortable weight for me.
I have about two months to do this - I want to look bikini-bootiful for a holiday my parents are taking us all on in July to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary ;o)
Great initiative, thank you R!!! Let's check in daily!
By the way, thanks for posting the pictures - I think you look great now actually. Let's all go for it!

Ok. I DID get to the gym - 35' on the Precor. Ouch.
& i cooked salmon to bring to work on a salad. & lots of other healthy foods.
I ate the salmon & salad ... but also 2 cupcakes ... its NURSES WEEK. Ugh. EVERYONE is bringing us food!
OK. I'm in as well. I needed to lose about 5 or so last summer when X left. I have put on some now and I'm not sure of the exact number but my guess is at least 15 if not 20 need to go. I turn 40 in December and want to look fabulous when I do....
So I shall start tomorrow as well. Keep the portions down,up the water and try to get my kids to head out for a walk for me in the evenings. Maybe even a little light weight lifting at home and to the gym on Saturdays. I'll work out an exact plan and let ya'll know. I guess the first step would be to find out the weight, YUCK!
