How about THAT icon! lol

Ok, seems a few of us are not-so-happy with the old winter weight we have put on, or the shape we have let ourselves get OUT of.

So ... log in here with your goals. We will try to post daily about our progress, or lack OF it :( & any tips we find along the way.

How's that sound?

OK--this is good timing because this weight issue has been knawing at me the last couple of weeks.

I am 5ft. 3in. and weigh at the moment 200lbs. I tend to fluctuate between 190 and 210.

I would like to get back down to around 150. 140 would be nicer, but I remember being 150 and feeling good about myself.

I stopped buying soda for the house. If I am desperate I but just one 20oz. so I cant overdo it. I need to stop the sweets again, I recently started up again and sugar is really not good for me, creates skin probs.

I also want to start exercising again. It has never been something I have been really good, consistent with, but I promised the kiddoes I would take them consistently to the Y this summer. Maybe thats the key, get my kids going and that will get me there ;-).

I've been contemplating joining in with you all but today, I decided to go ahead and join!

I had lost 65 pounds about 5 years ago after I had Logan and I felt good and was in the best shape I had ever been in. I have gained 39 of that back in the past 3 years. I've been depressed, done the emotional eating because of it, decided to go back to school so I had less time to exercise...I guess all of those factors just started the decline.

I cried this morning while getting ready for work because I feel so bad about how I big I have gotten. I really feel bad physically. I know I can lose the weight, I just need to get motivated and I think getting onto this will hold me accountable for doing what I need to do. :) I will probably post weekly with any ups or downs though.

Until I lose that weight again, I want to take a break from dating. If I don't feel good about my body then that is just going to hinder any potential relationship.

Good idea!

Wow! So what day? I'm the 27th. I'm sure I can look fabulous by then (not that I'm not already fabulous).

Is the Y program "New You"? I did it last year, with great success. This year? NOT SO MUCH! lol

I did well this week - over all so far. No soda (man do i want a COKE!), not many sweets, if any ... unless a slice of dry bannanna bread counts! I was eating really well till last nite dd got all dressed up & said "Mommy, can we go out to a fancy dinner?" Of course, she chose my FAV Italian rest & i had my FAV steak ala mamma with mashed potoatoes ... but i only at 1/2 the plate & boxed the rest. Plus 2 glasses of cabernet & some bread with olive oil. But, since i had only eaten cheerios with bannannas & a that bannanna bread all day, i should have been ok.

When i weighed myself yesterady, i was down 2# since Sunday ... i will wait till maybe Sat to weigh again.

I've been doing a "bootcamp" class since January every Thursday and today I went and managed to rip my shorts out doing squats! Geesh how embarrassing. I had to leave so I'm home getting ready to go for a walk and to do some ab stuff. They have a Sunday morning bootcamp class so I'll go to that after the early morning church service.

I have not been doing ANY excersize this week- you guys are so much better than me! I also ate three slices of pizza today, and I'm completely addicted to iced coffee, loaded with sugar and calories.

Ack!

I haven't weighed myself, but the lack of excersize is translating to a lack of energy, which leaves me feeling pretty cummy in general.

Perhaps tomorrow I'll find the time!

Moody, still at work with no end in sight

Great idea R! I'm a little behind on my reading--but count me in!

I'm in between right now--having lost some, but still need to lose more--and I appreciate having a place to vent and support!

I'm a believer in walking! I started in Sept--2 miles a couple times a week, then moved to every day (except when it was really, really cold, and I would do elliptical for 30 min at the Y).

Anyway, I've lost 30 #, and have another 10-15 to go. So, good and bad--because I feel so much better, but have plateaued. I'm still walking 2 miles a day (sometimes 3), eat really healthy food, and not too much. Haven't lost a pound in 2-3 months! I've been told I need to try a different type of exercise....yuk.

I guess I'll be getting my bike out of the basement this weekend....:)

I've been running outside regularly since March which is early for me so my mileage is back up to 8 miles already and it's only May. Been doing the bootcamp class at the gym and going for walks a couple of evenings a week and ab work. I've dipped a little below 120 and my summer shorts all fit so I think I'm ready for summer. I'm almost 40 so I'm noticing how hard it is to keep the pounds at bay. I have cut out my lunch time cookies and am not eating past 6 pm and that has helped too. Also I started skiing with my BF this winter so that got my legs in better shape for running this year.
