How about THAT icon! lol
Ok, seems a few of us are not-so-happy with the old winter weight we have put on, or the shape we have let ourselves get OUT of.
So ... log in here with your goals. We will try to post daily about our progress, or lack OF it :( & any tips we find along the way.
How's that sound?

The weekends are the killers for me - I can be doing so well during the week, and even lose quite a few pounds and then BAM! A couple of evening meals and I pile it all back on. GGGRRRRR. I guess I just have to realise that my metabolism is not the same now as it was when I was 20, or even 30, and just have to watch it at the weekends too.
Oh well, back to the "week" regime. Let's see how it goes.
How have you all been doing?
Clem xx
My goal is to lose 10 pounds. I am at my pre pregnancy weight, but want to be at one less dress size by mid summer.

Count me in ladies.
I used to be a serious runner in college and then again for a period after my DD was past the toddler stage but before my DS was born. They are now 8 and 3. Now that my DS is getting older I figure I must stop using him as my excuse as to why I'm not in better shape. So far this spring most of my exercise has been yard-work/gardening and that is definately not enough to keep the extra pounds at bay - especially since HN has been treating me to nice meals out and I do enjoy having a beer or two now and then.
I probably need to loose about 10lbs to feel good about my body and I'd need to loose another 10 before I'd really feel like racing again.
My plan is to basically cut out all refined sugars, drink a ton of water at night when the kids are having their bedtime snack (they need the calories, but I certainly don't), and keep my house contantly stocked with produce.
I will dust off my stair master in the basement to use in the morning before my kiddos wake up, take as many walks/play outdoor running games with them as we can squeeze in, and go on very long runs on the days they are with their dad (2 days one week and 4 days the next week).
This weekend I did fairly well. Friday night I didn't eat dinner, as per the norm, but instead of snacking on chocolate, I had a bagel with cheese on it. Saturday we grilled chicken, and that was yummy. Sunday I did have a decent sized breakfast, but had no syrup on my french toast, and then we had two bbqs, where I ate small portions instead of larger ones.
So, all in all, I'm doing better. So far no chocolate today, just ate a bagel with peanut butter, and have cut the flavored creamers out of my coffee. Every little thing helps me. I have started parking farther away from the dorr, walking instead of emailing at work, and doing little stretches at my desk.
Finding time to work out is still going to be my biggest hurdle, since I work until 8 every night, have the kids all the time, and simply don't enjoy it. It's hard to be motivated when you're busy and it isn't something you find enjoyable!
