1) You're completely broke and trying to find a really fun activity for you and your family. What do you do on minimal cash?
I'm going to have to give that serious thought. I don't have enough money to get through this week...honestly. blech...depressing.
2) You can completely renovate only ONE room in your home. Which one and what do you do with it?
My living room. I want to knock out the wall between it and the dining room and have one big room with just a partition that can open and close over the breakfast bar.
3) What is your favorite periodical? (either a newspaper, or magazine or similar)
I like Traditional Home once in awhile...but not very often
4) Do you have a certain book that you've read over and over? What is it?
the books that I need to look at periodically...Excuse me your life is waiting, and Will Our Love Last?...they remind me to keep looking for what I want out of life...
5) What is your favorite chore around the house? Least favorite?
Most favorite, picking up in the living room and then sitting in it serenely
My least favorite is cleaning the fridge...icky poo
6) What is your "sign" and do you think you are even remotely like the expected personality?
Pisces and YES!!! Very much. My horoscopes are so close it's scarey sometimes...
7) Anything fun this weekend?
don't know. depends on if I scrape some money up. But I have no homework this week, so that's nice. And I'll be getting ready for my brother to visit for Thanksgiving.
1) You're completely broke and trying to find a really fun activity for you and your family. What do you do on minimal cash?
Wash the car!! Seriously - it is something that my son and I can do together outside. If his friends come out he can play or he can help me. It saves money and gets the car clean and we are both WET!!
2) You can completely renovate only ONE room in your home. Which one and what do you do with it?
The kitchen - would go for 2 ovens, better stove, complete refrigerator upgrade, marble, much more. I love to cook.
3) What is your favorite periodical? (either a newspaper, or magazine or similar)
Wall Street Journal
4) Do you have a certain book that you've read over and over? What is it?
No - I read them once and then sell them on amazon.com
5) What is your favorite chore around the house? Least favorite?
Favorite: laundry
Least favorite: floors
6) What is your "sign" and do you think you are even remotely like the expected personality?
Aquarius - very impulsive, gregarious - yes - that is me!!
7) Anything fun this weekend?
YES! Girlfriend slumber party, triathlon, lasertag party for my son to go to, see my coach
1) You're completely broke and trying to find a really fun activity for you and your family. What do you do on minimal cash?
If the weather is nice, pack a picnic, a blanket and a ball in truck and head to the park for the day or head up to the mountain to hike or to the lake to feed the carp and ducks at the marina. If the weather isn't nice - with older kids - I do the exact same thing. Put on warm clothes and our ever ready bright blue Disneyland ponchos and go hiking or to the marina. Kids love being out in the rain . . . at least mine do . . . and TT and I love to see them having fun outside. :) If it's REALLY bad - declare a JAMMIE DAY, stay in, play board games, cook sweet treats, watch family favorite movies (like E.T.), read together, color together, etc.
2) You can completely renovate only ONE room in your home. Which one and what do you do with it?
I'm doing my living room . . . I want all new furniture - a new sectional, a new recliner, new coffee tables, a new ceiling fan, a new t.v. with surround sound, and all the pretty trimmings!
3) What is your favorite periodical? (either a newspaper, or magazine or similar)
I love Newsweek and read it every week. :) But I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Oprah's magazine - "O"!
4) Do you have a certain book that you've read over and over? What is it?
Over and over, hmmmm - you know - the only books I can think of that I've EVER read more than once is Erma Bombeck books, specifically "If Life Is A Bowl Of Cherries What Am I Doing In The Pits?" and "The Grass Is Always Greener Over the Septic Tank"
5) What is your favorite chore around the house? Least favorite?
FAVORITE CHORE???? That's an oxymoron - isn't it?????????????? The one I mind the VERY least is . . . hmmmmm . . . vacuuming . . . . the one I HATE, HATE, HATE is cleaning the kitchen floor!
6) What is your "sign" and do you think you are even remotely like the expected personality?
I'm a Leo. I'm through and through a LEO.
7) Anything fun this weekend?
Yes! Lots of fun this weekend! Going out tonight with my girlfriends, tomorrow going to the spa with my friend, her and I are going to dinner and dancing, staying overnight at a hotel, and spending Sunday shopping. YAY!

1) You're completely broke and trying to find a really fun activity for you and your family. What do you do on minimal cash?
I take the kids to the video store and let them pick out any movie they want. They love doing that, and it only costs a couple of bucks.
2) You can completely renovate only ONE room in your home. Which one and what do you do with it?
It would defintely be my basement. I had a finished basement, then I had an exboyfriend try to remodel it, but before he finished it, I kicked him out. So, my basement is half done.
3) What is your favorite periodical? (either a newspaper, or magazine or similar)
I don't have one.
4) Do you have a certain book that you've read over and over? What is it?
I usually only read books once, but there are two books I read twice: Butterfly by Kathryn Harvey (best book I ever read, great revenge at the end) and Whispers by Dean Koontz. I would read The Rich Shall Inherit by Elizabeth Adler again because it is my second favorite book, but I don't have it anymore.
5) What is your favorite chore around the house? Least favorite?
Favorite is picking up the living room and the least favorite is laundry.
6) What is your "sign" and do you think you are even remotely like the expected personality?
Interesting question. I'm a Scorpio. I think I'm partly like the expected personality. It is said that Scorpios are mean and stingy and selfish. That is not me at all; I'm very generous and very unselfish. The horoscopes talk about the "Scorpio stinger", and I can say that I don't let my stinger out very often, but if you mess with me, you will get stung. They say Scorpios are very intense, loyal and passionate people. I am all of those things. I read a horoscope book one time that talked about each sign's perfect match. The book said there was no perfect match for a Scorpio because no one can put up with us. The book said the worst possible match for a Scorpio was a Leo (my exh was a Leo), maybe that's why our marriage didn't work. That book said that Scorpios were the sexiest, most passionate sign and that we have an almost unsatiable appetite for sex. Don't know about anyone else, but that describes me pretty well. I just don't have anyone to share that side of me with. But when I do, watch out! LOL
7) Anything fun this weekend?
Tonight I have bunco. I had dinner plans with a friend for Saturday night, but I had to break them because my boss needs me to work. I am getting my hair cut and colored in the morning and then going to work, and I know I won't feel like going anywhere after 5 hours of working, so I'll just chill when I get home. I plan to do as much painting as I can this weekend. I've really got the bug now, and everything is turning out so beautiful, I'm really pleased.

4) Do you have a certain book that you've read over and over? What is it? The Fountainhead

1) You're completely broke and trying to find a really fun activity for you and your family. What do you do on minimal cash? -- I love going to Starbucks with Ty for a cappuccino / hot chocolate and playing mancala or UNO. Going to the fitness center is fun. (free w/the apartment) I SHOULD play basketball w/him at the courts. Will probably be doing that on next nicer day.
2) You can completely renovate only ONE room in your home. Which one and what do you do with it? -- I want a "sanctuary" bedroom. All new furniture. Lighter colored wood. A really soothing sage green shade on the walls. Airy but privacy creating layers on the windows. LOTS of candles and a great fluffy down comforter. A nice comfy armchair in a corner with room all around to pile my books and a great quirky reading lamp. I love piles of books.
3) What is your favorite periodical? (either a newspaper, or magazine or similar)-- I do like Good Housekeeping, and Martha Stewart Living. Also love Readers Digests. Cosmo sometimes. Allure also... All kinds. I am a magazine junkie. The best part about going to the doctor's office. ;)
4) Do you have a certain book that you've read over and over? What is it? Pride and Prejudice. ALL of the Little House on the Prarie books. Many others. I love to reread favorites.
5) What is your favorite chore around the house? Least favorite? -- Ok. So it kind of IS an oxymoron. Oops. ;) I like cleaning the kitchen. Feel very satisfied and peaceful when it gleams. I HATE scrubbing the bathtub and enclosure. Hate it hate it hate it!
6) What is your "sign" and do you think you are even remotely like the expected personality? -- Libra. And yes, I am Libra. Through and through. The daily horoscopes do NOTHING for me. But my personality fits, to a "t". "You're romantic but particular, diplomatic but indecisive, but ultimately happiest when you're in love. You don't really like to be alone, period. You abhor conflict, and have a highly developed sense of objectivity and conflict resolution" That's me!
7) Anything fun this weekend? -- Taking Ty to see the Incredibles. Want to cook some and MAYBE do some christmas baking, as it's going to be snowy and seems appropriate. Also a little Christmas shopping. No adult fun nights out that I know of. Oh well.
1) You're completely broke and trying to find a really fun activity for you and your family. What do you do on minimal cash?
HMMMM....Last weekend, we took Dylan to the movies. We went tho a matinee, so it was cheaper. For less than 20.00, we all got in and got snacks and shared a big drink and were able to enjoy the comfy seats and watch a fun movie "The Incredibles". But we alos like to take Dylan to Sonic. Sonic is a drive in restaurant with Car Hops. It's cute. There is a playground with lots of great stuff for him to do while we can play volleyball in the sand court or sit in the covered eating area and enjoy the weather. It has fun food like footlongs and any type of shake you want. I like the chocolate covered strawberry shake. You can also get fountain drinks with real mix in's. They will put whatever flavor you choose in a soda or ice cream drink. And it's not expensive at all.
2) You can completely renovate only ONE room in your home. Which one and what do you do with it?
The bedroom. I want to make it sexy. Red is what I want. Now to convince Shane of red.
3) What is your favorite periodical? (either a newspaper, or magazine or similar)
I like People Magazine. Or Reader's Digest. I'm not a big reader, but the short stories are good.
4) Do you have a certain book that you've read over and over? What is it?
No.
5) What is your favorite chore around the house? Least favorite?
I don't mind dusting or sweeping. But I hate laundry.
6) What is your "sign" and do you think you are even remotely like the expected personality?
Pisces. You know, I have no idea what that personality is. I'm bored with monotony, I love to try new things, I'm a little wild thing. I love creativity and I hate to be told what to do. So if that's classic Pisces, then that's me.
7) Anything fun this weekend?
Not really. We were supposed to go to New Orleans with Shane's work, but decided to stay behind so we could prioritize this move. The house is more important. But yeah, he's gotta work instead, however, he's now the hero for doing it. But now I'm stuck cleaning house instead of feasting on begnets (?) and coffee at Cafe Du Monde. Or getting a virgin Hurricane at Pat O'Brien's so I can have that famous glass. Oh well, I'll get away a weekend hopefully soon.

For less than 20.00, we all got in and got snacks and shared a big drink and were able to enjoy the comfy seats and watch a fun movie "The Incredibles". ... That is PRECISELY what Jas Ty and I did on Saturday afternoon. Down to the same movie and shared drink. LOL! But, we brought J's 94 year old grandmother too. She seemed to enjoy it. But at one point we looked at her and she was sound asleep sitting straight up. Too cute.
Our Sonic's don't have a playground. That'd be too cool!
I've never been to one with a playground except for here in Tyler. None of the others we have lived near had them. We have about 4 Sonics and all of them have nice playgrounds and sand volley courts. The weekends in the summer are like a party over there. Where else can you play beach volleyball and eat junk food so close to town?
Did you enjoy "The Incredible's"? We sure did. It was so cute.
Might have to buy it when it's on DVD. Dylan would love that.
