getting older and feeling it

OK So I found a grey hair. OK two of them. Bf pulled one out yesterday but I found one on my birthday of all days a few months ago. I am 34. I have gained ten pounds over the past year and look older, and have wrinkles!!! HOw can this be happening? I am slightly horrified and yet I think I might still be abel to save myself. So....I joined a gym again. I have been in in great shape before and I also have done bikram yoga all within the past five years so I hope my body remembers this. I have my first training session tomorrow to remind me. Wish me luck. I think it will be slightly embarassing to take the fitness test, admit I have a broken tail bone - you know, the usual.
Now to the wrinkles....mainly around my eyes a bit and on my forehead because I worry and squint a lot. I bought myself some sunglasses. DUH. I also invested in some different skincare that I have been looking at for months. I have good skin for the most part but I havent been really taking care of it. I dont always take off my make up properly ( I know, yuck but I get tired and just cant be bothered) and even though I do use moisturizer, I am not using anti aging stuff regularly. I need a routine. So I got that Clarisonic thing. That whirly brushy thing that looks like the toothbrush but is for your skin. I am psyched to try it. I dont know what anti aging products to look into but I figured I would take it one step at a time. A cleanser comes with the clarisonic and I have a day moisturizer from Olay with SPF and I will use that for now. I am OPEN FOR SUGGESTIONS!!!
I need to feel sexier and younger again. I dont really know when I let myself off the hook over here but I think some of the weight is love weight ( thats what I call it) SYB has gained weight too so we joined the gym together. I have never had a bf that went to the gym with me. I think it will help to do this together. We are also both really good cooks so I think we will be eating in more. The gym is actually walkable from our place and there are stores in between that have fresh fish and produce - really my favorite market, plus bank and pet store, etc. Very convenient.
Is anyone else feeling suddenly older and wrinkly? Misery loves company and all that. It is just rough to realize I am not that cute girl in my twenties anymore. Where did she go??

Hi City,
I got a report today that my eggs are OLD. & thats NOT "on line dating". I have been seriously considering trying to get PG with donor sperm (sperm bank) & I had the tests done & got the info back from teh doc --- that i have "reduced ovarain reserve" & my fertility is a "bit past most women my age". WTF??? I was SO mad, & sad. He gave me a FIVE % chance of getting pg. FIVE? Cripes.
No grey hair though! lol
Rebecca, Mom to Averey, 2/8/00, Kibo, Sana & Zuri too!
I was looking in the mirror the other day and notice that I am getting smile lines. I was thinking "when did THAT happen!!!" OMG! I have been coloring my hair for about six years and I am not about to stop fighting the gray!
I have started using Mary Kay cleansers and moisturizers after I got a kit as a gift from a friend. I like the products, but they are NOT cheap.
I remember the days I could get away without makeup, moisturizer and hair color. Now I have to WORK at this crap! Oh well.
Has anyone seen Priscilla Presley on TV? Her face looks like a plastic mask and her lips look like Jack Nicholson in Batman! SHEESH!!

Hey, don't come to this board for support on wrinkles! LOL. You'll get no tears here! :)
I hear ya woman! I am now 36 and noticing the changes in my face! Awful. I had the first grey with 25, but that is because of all my stress. The last years have sooo worn on me. GEESH. I'm glad I still look descent, but going through the changes (as vain as I am) is hard.
Good job on the excercise and workout plan! Your doing something I have no ambition to do. ALTHOUGH, walking my doggie and going to the beach surfing
Oh, I see age approaching.
OK you all HAD to make me go there......
Let's love our laugh lines and faces as is or else we get carried away and THIS will happen. LOL!
Retrieving this from the previous thread:
Okay--I am almost 32 and have a gray hair that tends to pop up every so often--I color my own hair and

Hey, I'm the old sage here at 47. Gray hair, bah! It's when you wake up one morning and can't freaking read without holding the paper 3' from your face that really gets one feeling old! And it really happens all of a sudden. Thankfully, I didn't get the metabolism coming to a screeching halt until 45 and still don't have a single wrinkle, chalk that up to never smoking, good genes, and protecting my face from the sun since I was about 12.
And Rebecca, too bad we can't switch fertility status. I don't want to be on birth control til I'm in my mid 50's, but my OB/GYN tells me my body is physiologically 10-15 years younger than I am chronologically. I had D4 at 43 and I was shocked I could still get PG. It is only recently that human eggs could be frozen for later use. PsychoBoy was one of the researchers who developed that technology. If I were in my 20's I'd seriously consider setting some aside in case I wanted kids later. I'm sure you realize there is the technology for you to still have kids, just not from your own eggs. Mother nature never shuts the door on the viability of carrying a pregnancy, just in getting pregnant in the first place. Kind of weird how that works.

Oh Pac-Sun, that woman is scary!!! I've seen her on tv before, and to see her "before" from years ago... she was beautiful before!! I never could understand why she felt she needed ANY work done- but once the work went "too much"- there was NO way to ever get back to being pretty again! She'd ruined her face. It's sad.
Anyway- I got my hair cut today!!! I'm posting the 'before' from a week ago, and the 'after' from today. That's enough of a change for me. No plastic surgery here... only hair changes! lol
I've never colored my hair- but I do have gray... they're just all hidden.
~shrimpy, who doesn't get carded anymore- but can still fool the carnival age-guessers ALL the time (thankfully)
