You guys are the best and just reading along here really lifted my spirits! Also I talked to my mom and that helped. She is looking forward to seeing DD and I. We have lots of stuff planned. River swimming, a camp out at the lake, and we are going to see a musical called The Summer of Love.
Oh and there is a disc golf course on lake Tahoe that I mapped out. We are going to spend the day at Tahoe then disc golf there. Fun!!
BE called me last night. He said he'll miss me and asked if I will at least call while I'm away. I said of course. So, I feel more myself today. Plus I got out for a DG round after work and that always helps my mood. And this double espresso is not hurting either ;o)
Thanks for the cheer. Yes, it sure does get tiring being almost 40 and not feeling financially "set". It can really bring you down if you let it..and I think that along with a day of bit of bloating and feeling uncomfortable in the tummy yesterday had me in a bad mood. But now I'm looking forward to my vacation and just have to get started on packing and stuff.
How are things going? Is your ex helping out at all, or is it still just drama? And EG...has the time/priority issue resolved anymore?
Oh that is horrible about the houskeeper. Those poor children.. I can not imagine anything ever being enough to make me leave my child either but I'm not one to judge someone in that much pain. I'm sorry to hear that sad news.
Your ex is getting a DOG??? And this is the guy who balks at taking your daughter to the doctor and dentist and throws bills on your law. I'm saying the same thing....HMMMMMMMMM. That would tick me off!!
I know that your routine this summer with EG might not seem ideal right now with all you are both doing. But at least it does seem "normal" in the way that you both get to sort of try on "life" with each other...the way life and schedules go. It might seem sort of un-romantic in a way but I think in a way it is good to see life as it is. If you can adjust to it AND find time for each other that would be the key. Still though I think it's important to make sure you guys schedule in dates!!! Don't you think? (and not housework/fixing something dates LOL!)
BE does that "hyper focus" on one thing sometimes. He'll get into a project like 15 minutes before we are supposed to go somewhere and he ends up spending an hour on it. Its gotta be "just right"... and I sometimes lose my patience! He does

Hey Isys-
Thanks for the cheer. Yes, it sure does get tiring being almost 40 and not feeling financially "set". My ex isn't helping financially.

He says the same thing, that we need to learn how to co-exist through all the everyday stuff.
"But honestly, what man is worth THAT? "
AGREED! She must have been very sick with depression to make a decision like that - I feel so sorry for the kids.
I hope you get EG to focus on quality time to make up for the 5 days apart! Keep us posted!

My kids had the same thing happen at their school.
