Pardon the language here... but if there are people who are gonna judge you/him because of some gray hairs, then f*ck them.
What's some gray hair?!?? You can't control them! It's like having wrinkles as you age. You just can't get away from them no matter how much you try to hide them. Eventually you (and others) will just have to accept them and look past them!!!! JMHO
I don't know what to tell you, sorry. I have black asian hair with some silver too- but I won't color it because color for dark hair always just comes out looking PAINTED. I won't go there!!
My Hiker is 10 yrs older, with graying temples- and I love him no matter what! I think I'd wonder more about it, if he was self-conscious and DID
Thing is most people in my family color their hair.. so looks like I havent seen anyone with a grey hair..lol. I and Biker did talk about trying some color out just to see + meeting my family thing. I am bit unsure about how their overall response would be. Biker is bit older than me (10+) and looks not so ordinary.. In the sense very tall and all that. I just want my folks to feel at ease. If they feel that he is too much older they may feel bad or unhappy. I know it is none of their buisness..But in the culture that I come from, parents are overly sensitive to these issues.
Biker is not really into coloring and I am also scared that the color will spoil his hair or have chemicals that wont
Well I have dyed my hair since I was 15 years old .... so a long long time! Unless you bleach your hair (go blonde) it actually makes your hair feel beautiful. I have dyed mine red for ages. I use a permanent dye that says it covers grey hair. I think you will find temporary rinses & non-permanent colours will not cover grey well. My hair does not take colour easily so I usually leave it on a bit longer than recommended, & some dyes that say they cover grey do not work on me. I have found my favourite brands through trial & error. Since you want to just cover grey not change the hair colour just try & match the hair colour to the dye- most have pictures on or hair samples available to look at. You can also email any of the hair dye manufacturers for assistance- I have. Good Luck!
I have to agree 100 percent with Shrimp's comment. I KNOW you are looking for advice on products but I can't help commenting on something you wrote.
I can understand your cultural differences and really wanting your parents to feel at ease with everything. But, step back a second and think about Biker. I know he's going along with this idea to color his hair. But wouldn't it be a wonderful thing to say (and mean) to Biker-" I love you and your age and your hair and every aspect of who you are HOW you are. If my parents are uneasy with your age then that's their issue, not ours". Biker would feel like you were in his corner, loving him for who his is, right?
I guess this hits my nerve because I used to bend over backwards to make my exH as "presentable" and acceptable as possible to my parents. I knew that they would have an issue or two (who's perfect?) but it was silly of me to try and paint him to be someone he wasn't.
This time around I am not ashamed or hiding anything from anyone about BE. He is who he is and I don't cover up anything. My parents met him- quarks and all, and I can say that at the very least, they know who he really is. So maybe the hair coloring things is no big deal. I'm not sure why it seems to me that you're trying to make Biker more presentable to your parents but I hope they would love and accept him no matter what he looks like or how old, simply because YOU love him!
Sorry, I'm no help with product advice for hair color for men. I find the grey sexy so I would die if BE ever colored his hair..lol!!
Yes.. I think I greyed much in last years worrying unnecessarily about EX.. BTW I learned that he hurried and married that one he met online.. can you believe that!! may be he found his soulmate or he was hurrying thinking that she is golden and he dont want to miss that one.
Anyways.. I wish I could show mine and Bikers pics to some non-judgemental people.. I cant post it here in public because I am myself a bit internet shy and besides I have to ask him if I can post his pic and then he will know where I come secretly to complain or to brag about him..lol.

I know very little about hair coloring, but since no one else is stepping up to the plate, I'll share what little I've learned.
Well, you still know MUCH more than me!!!
