Okay you guys - we need to share ideas here. DS just announced he wants to be one of the Star Wars characters for Halloween. But those are pricey.

Do you guys have good ideas for stuff you have done in the past for your kids that is not too expensive and yet fun and cool?

Please share!!

We buy costumes at Wal-mart. My son always finds one he likes and this year's costume only cost $12.95.

Thanks you guys - we will check out Walmart and Old Navy.

I was looking online at costume project ideas - you know - that crafty stuff - and my eyes glazed over. How on earth do people find time for that stuff? I realized it is a good idea to go for something cheapy and fun for him from the store. I will give him a budget before leaving home.

I remember my mom used to make all kinds of creative stuff. She is an artist and was home with us so she had time. Or we would come up with something fun like some of the stuff I saw. Eyeballs, ghosts, pumpkins, pirates. The trouble is that kids don't want to be any of THAT. They want to be movie characters now. Why would you want to be a ghost when you can be a JEDI!!?? LOL!!

What do you all do for Halloween - do you stay home for trick or treaters, take the kids around, go to parties?
