Hallowe'en

Alright ladies and gentlemen,
It's that time of year again... as the leaves turn and the frost begins, we begin to think about ghosts and goblins and candy...
What are the kids getting dressed up as?
What are you getting dressed up as?
What time do you like to head out trick-or-treating?
Do you take the kids alone, or join up with a group of friends?
Any parties lined up?

DD is letting me off easy and cheaply this year.
I found, and was determined to buy a Thing 1 and Thing 2 costume.

Oh wow, Moody!
That would be a great costume for your kids - how cute!!!!!!
We read Cat and the Hat so many times - like hundreds of times - loved it. And then we got to do the Cat and the Hat ride in Universal Studios one year - the Dr.Seussland is my favorite section there. One year I got really creative and made DS a Cat in the Hat costume!!
DS has a peanut allergy - so we downplay the whole Halloween thing a bit. I buy the candy he likes and then when he comes in, I take out all the stuff he can't eat and replace it with tons of stuff he likes. And then I give away what he can't eat. So he does make out well and he makes it last. I agree with how you take some in to work.
HAHA, they do make them in kid sizes, but I was talking about for adults!

OHHH - so you and funnyguy would be thing one and thing two? That is cute!!!!
LOL!!
I love getting dressed up and getting the children dressed up for Halloween!!! I dress up every year!!!
The Kids: most don't know yet what they want or have already changed their minds despite the fact that i bought something.... My youngest DD3 will be a power ranger. DS8 has a black spiderman but now wants to be Luke Skywalker... DD4 wanted to be a Mermaid again, but she keeps changing her mind every day ... and the oldest two don't know yet.
What are you getting dressed up as?
This year I'm planning on Tinkerbell.. I bought the green wings yesterday, as well as a green dress... But i may change my mind about the dress.. The dress looks good by itself and something i can wear whenever. I usually dress up for work. Last year i was Supergirl but it was a bit too sexy (many men made comments like "can my wife borrow that costume"...slightly embarrassing)... This year my plan is to wear a "nice" green dress for work, then change it too a SEXY green dress for going to the parties!!
We don't do trick-or-treating around the neighborhood.. We go to my church's Costume Carnival... they have games and give out plenty of candy. Along with hay rides, pony rides, and hot dogs and corn. And all the money i spend goes to a good cause... EVERYONE dressed up, so there's no age limit (like there is around the neighborhood)...
Parties: I'm sure there are many parties... but i haven't picked one yet. I like to try out for costume contests... two years ago I won Second Place with my Geisha Girl costume. I hope to go to more than one party... Or perhaps i should throw my own party at my house?

Tinkerbell is such a fun idea!! Do you have a magic wand?
That is too crazy that the kids are changing their minds. With 5 in different sizes you must have learned by now to be clever to get them all happy and dressed and out the door in SOMETHING they like. It is fun that the little girl would want to be a power ranger!! That is super they have all those things at your church for them. Hay rides are just awesome.
We will want to hear your party story for sure!!!
