So things are going really well with C and I. We are very intuned and on the same page. It's a great feeling when both people are on the same wave length.

I can't wait to hear how your weekend goes. I hope you have as much chemistry in person as you do on the phone. Just remember to take things slow!

Ugh, rain. That would just make it for a fun-filled vacation!

Leave Friday at around 1:30pm and then it's a 5 hour car ride. We love car rides, so we'll enjoy the trip up to the mountains. C has the rain problem already partially solved. He is buying us all Umbrella Hats to wear around the campsite. hehehe. My poor pre-teenager daughter

Keep us posted. It is a good idea to be ready for rain - cooped up kids can get a little stir crazy. How long is your drive to get there?

Sorry - I missed the hours in your post above this - that is not too bad. His rain hats is cute. I think the fun part is that he is a dad - and he does sound creative. You do have to give us details on this one.

I hope you guys all have a great time as well!!! It all sounds SO much like a weekend trip I did with my Hiker last fall. We thought it would be fun to make a trip with all the kids (my 2 DSs, his 1 DS). Well, he has 4 kids- but the 3 oldest are grown and didn't go with us. Anyway, the only thing different with our trip is that we'd already been dating for a month or two (three?) and it wasn't our first meeting. I think you're BRAVE to be making this trip your first IRL meeting! The only thing about our trip was that our KIDS had not met each other until that trip. He'd met my kids, I'd met his. But thankfully both of our kids are very "blendable" and get along well with people easily.

But anyway, we'd gone and planned to do some hiking and stuff, but it ended up raining the evening we got there, and then it SNOWED overnight! So the hiking plans were dashed, but we all had fun anyway. So even if it rains on you guys, I hope it'll just be fun as well. :) I totally agreee with the board games though- just in case.

Oh- and we had to drive 5 hrs to get there, too. The drive wasn't all that long, really. I've made road trips that were MUCH longer so 5 hrs is NOTHING for us. ;-) We piled into his truck and we also shared one hotel room (it was just for 1 night)... and it all went really well! I hope you all have fun!!!

You better be ready to share some details!!!
