Liz! You surprised me with your call!

I'd gone out this morning for a walk, but then got a call from my Dad- FROM my own house! So he was wanting to talk to me and so I had to cut my walk short. He's managed to interrupt my workouts the past 2 days! Grrr on his timing sometimes! But anyway- he was here talking to me about house stuff when you called.

Thanks for taking time out of your day to call me! I haven't heard from you in ages, and had forgotten how neat it is to just hear your northern accent. Living in TX, we just don't hear that. lol

That's super about your DD and her hair donating! Glad you had a good weekend with retail therapy, too. That's never a bad thing. :-)

Hi Shrimpy-

I know this weekend must have been really tough for you. You're such a wonderful person, so upbeat and positive and I hate to think you were going through that pain. I'm sending you all the best thoughts and vibes I can muster up today :o)

And all that house stuff..whew! What a monster. I'll be praying to the house gods that it does not get more expensive!!

I'm happy that Hiker insisted on seeing you. He's so sweet..and a back rub to boot?? Gotta love that :o)

Thanks, isysmoon! I hope your house-selling process doesn't take TOO long... though it sounds like it's taken a long time already. Wanna come buy mine?!?? :-P

If anything... I've definitely learned ALOT recently about house stuff- and it's a step ahead to know about these things instead of being clueless.

Yeah, Hiker is definitely a keeper. :-) Although lately, I have barely had any time or energy left for him, and I feel a bit bad that he's getting cheated of a more active girlfriend... but apparently he isn't going anywhere, and still takes whatever time I can carve out to fit him in. Is it bad that I keep on dating him, even when I really don't even have time TO date lately??

Thank you, Pacific!

I'm just glad that this past weekend is over... and I hope I can do more grieving stuff before the next Mother's Day comes around so maybe it won't catch me as hard as it did this year. I know it will get better as time goes on, but I just didn't expect it to hit as hard as it did. I just didn't see it coming, though I expected some potential bad moments.

I hear of people who talk about fighting with their mom over this or that... and I just think "at least you still HAVE your mom" but fight the urge to actually SAY it. Because saying it wouldn't help support them in their venting situation anyway. So I do hope everyone here who has a Mom still- hugged or called the moms this weekend.
