This is a nice "check in" thread..thanks for starting it, Isys- I'm happy top hear that you are doing well and that you talked more to EG. His statement that he is as committed to staying in town just as you are for now sounded really promising. He sound so committed to the two of you- great news :o)
I'm doing well..
I feel "even keel" and balanced. A great feeling :o)
We took DD to see Duran Duran Saturday. We had a blast!! We danced in the isles, totally got down. It was a beautiful spring night in our open outdoor stadium. I saw my boss there a few rows back...so I did not get TOO crazy..lol!
I was simply wiped out yesterday...no energy and I don't know why. Blue Eyes and I were spending the day together and so luckily we were on the same page..both feeling lazy and wanting to stay in. We watched some Dexter episodes and made dinner in, cuddled.
I'm watching and noticing Blue Eyes evolving without my pushing or directing. A while back I just decided to put all my expectations at the door when with him...to avoid being hurt or disappointed. What I'm finding is that now when we get together things are really relaxed, we really enjoy each other without tension. I'm seeing him kind of morph into a mellower, more relaxed guy who is treasuring more alone time with me..and this after I stopped asking for it..lol.
This week, well mostly all work. Lots to do...I'll probably skip out early Tues or Weds for some afternoon DG therapy though! I'm also signing up for use of the UCSB swimming pools
Hi Shrimps. Just wanted t osend you big ((((hugs)))). I can imagine that the one year anniversary of your mom's passing will be tough. I'll be thinking of you. I hope you can do something lovely in her honor maybe.. I have qa good friend whose mom dies of cancer 6 years ago. On the anniversay she goes to a park her mom loved and sprinkels flowers into the creek there. It's really healing for her...
I can't wait to see Iron Man! Sounds cool. I also want to see Indiana Jones new movie coming out soon.
I hope your feeling better and that stress bug flys away soon :o)
You know, it's really cool that at least you know that you do it- letting things simmer then boil. Thats at least half the battle- knowing what to work on!
If you look at the positives, you can say that at least you don't "snap to react" which is my problem. I have a tendancy to react quickly without digesting it and deciding of it is an issue to even react to..so I'm working on that.
LOL about the communication "log". Only a doctor would come up with that hehe! But
Wow - what a load for you right now Shrimps! Usually you are always so kind and bubbly and positive and just downright wise and helpful! Always taking time to really write a good response. YOU are a true value around here. I am always so relieved when you get to a thread and come up with one of your great answers!! So it makes us all sad to read about your challenges with your surgery and your house foundation. And especially the part about your mom and not getting a card for you - that IS sad for sure!!!! HUGS!!
I hope that the surgery would be an easy one and that you could recover fast while out of classes for the summer. What do you have to do for your house? Something with the foundation sounds major to me - I picture a lot of ripped up flooring?
Maybe you and the boys can celebrate your day together somehow so you feel special?
