Thank you for all your well wishes on my "stuff"... I just know I'll be glad to get the big things behind me finally!

Pacific- I can't wait for Indiana Jones either! Hiker and I already have a date to go see it at the end of the month. :-)

Liz- forget the phone call!!! I just need to come out there and do Disney with you!!! Hiker will be out there in June- waaay south though- with his Scouts troop. But I won't be going (yeah, right- me going with him & the scouts??! It wouldn't be rated G anymore! LOL) Hugs to you about Mother's Day crud, too.

Soonee, thanks! Yeah, timing is everything and right now the timing sucks! I think that if I can just make it through this next weekend, I will be in a much better frame of mind.

Westie- It's sad that Mother's day will always be "tainted" in a way, because my mom passed the Friday before Mother's Day last year... and turns out this year- Mother's Day is the exact same day she passed away. I'm not sure what we'll do that day. I'm sure my Dad will be wanting some company too. I had to laugh at your suggestion that I do something with the kids to celebrate- because ALL my time is spent with the kids, doing something!! I'm like one of the moms in the daily comics- who wishes for Mother's Day as the day to spend WITHOUT being a mom for a change! LOL Backwards, I know...

>>I'm seeing him kind of morph into a mellower, more relaxed guy who is treasuring more alone time with me..and this after I stopped asking for it..lol. <<

That's great news... that is exactly how things work... we pray quietly for them, but stop "nagging" them.. and it's seem to make a huge difference.. have you read "the Power of a Praying Wife"... i know you aren't his wife.. but i'm sure the concept is the same.... prayer WORKS!!! When we pray for others, our own spirit is lifted as well as spiritual forces working behind the scenes.. and you will see, a higher power is in control of you, of BE and of your relationship.

Huge hugs,

I know that is hard for you when have them all the time and especially they are still so little. Too bad we all weren't closer - we could take them for a bit and give you mommy time!

I was just thinking that sometimes when I have been alone with DS on Mother's Day or my birthday - we bake a cake together and make a fun dinner just the two of us - those are actually my fondest memories. And you are such an extraordinary baker!!

It sure sounds sad for you though, Shrimps!! Sending HUGS!! I am hoping that somehow you will surprise yourself and discover or think of something positive that gives you a fond memory of your mom and makes the day special.
