Great to hear how happy you are! Nothing like a man in uniform eh ;-)?

Today, Saturday I got email from Cindy saying we are not compatible and reneging on the B-52s concert this Wednesday. Good thing I'm a email junkie or else who knows when I have found that out? It is just as well. Our last conversation she suggested that I see a therapist (she said it's nothing to be ashamed of since she is seeing one). Now for me I really have a problem when someone starts pointing to the OTHER person rather than owning their own stuff. As I said, relationships are self selecting. If it does not work out then there is a good reason.

So I was getting bummed out for this is the third concert I had to scramble to find someone to go with. The last two (Colbie Caliet and Mike Doughty) I dug up friends. So I got a hold of Debbie the 58 yo nurse who invited me to see Ladysmith Black Mambazo and we went snowshoeing together with the MeetInPortland group. I just don't feel it with her but she was basically the only one I could think of to go with. CNDG will be there with her DD12 which I am not looking forward in running into them (I never met her DD12 and DD13).

I had a several hour conversation with Jane, the 51 yr old social worker who works in the ER. It was nice to talk with her and she may join my 60 yr old friend and I at a theater benefit for Clowns Without Borders. She is another one where I don't feel the zing with.

This Sunday I'll be meeting Lori for coffee. She is a 59 yr old retired woman who did not have a picture on Match.

I think I am better off to go back to my MeetIn group activities and other things for every woman I feel that there is an inkling of connection, she gets scared and runs away.

So sorry to hear abut Cindy. I don't think you need therapy... you sound like you have a sound mind.

i think everyone needs honest and open relationships.. with friends and family, etc... then we won't need therapy for the rest of our lives... (just perhaps during the unually stressful times)...

TG said he wants to spend the day with me Sunday so that we could talk.... he told me that everytime he talks to me he feels better about life.... said he doesn't really have friends he can talk to the way he talks to me... And i'm eating that compliment up big time... He said, don't think i'm gay or anything, but i like to talk.... AWWWWWW. He doesn't know

thanks.... he is golden..... yesterday he was at the race... i didn't go because of my broken foot... he still called me three times yesterday.... Not because i asked him to.... but because he couldn't stop thinking about me. He was at the race... what he lives for, he said... as you can see from the photo, he's a huge nascar fan..... and i mean huge.... but even at the race, he said, he couldn't stop talking about me or thinking about me.... i feel so lucky right now.

He told me that he's developing feelings

Yay for you, LB!!! He is a cutie! (looks like a mere man-cub to me, the old woman I am... lol) After spending all this time with Hiker and not even thinking of any of us as old... seeing someone that young... I just can't imagine! lol

It's neat that he is so head-over-heels for you! But I'm also glad that you are slowing things down a bit. You KNOW he is flying high on that infatuation stage right now!!! He's bound to say anything because he is
