The hardest thing to do is NOTHING

Okay, I am improving myself. Usually I always try to hard to be the pleaser and have a guy like me. But now I am learning not to chase a guy and just to chill. I am also opening my heart and mind to other possibilities besides my coach!!

This weekend I met a nice guy - he is a sports rehab masseuse (and gorgeous triathlete) who specializes in athlete's strains and injuries. He was house sitting 2 doors down from a friend that I ride with so I went to see him after my ride because my hamstrings are very tight. He is so so cute. And we hit it off very well - lots of things in common - an hour went by in 1 minute it seemed. He was really nice. And there was some chemistry. I have met him before a few times at races.

I did a little research and he is separated and going through a divorce, has 2 small children. So timing is not good for him right now for sure. I am sure I will bump into him again.

With regards to my coach I am going to take a chill. Let him miss me and stop trying so hard to make us be more than we are at the moment.

So the best thing to do is NOTHING!! That is the hardest thing.

in our area you can do a search of court cases from a link on the county court's website. It's called casenet.com. I don't know about your county, but MANY of them have this service available now.

Sometimes it will turn up in a name search of the archives of a local newspaper (online) as well.

And just doing a google search of a name is a good idea...sometimes you turn up interesting (or scary) things.

You're right, it is the hardest thing. Not that I or anyone need to tell you, it's best to be an ear, if you need to be. It reminds me of the Heniz ketchup commerical, The best things come to those who wait. So it's a ad with a message. Best of luck to you. You deserve the best!

I did know about googling someone, and I've done that before. I will look for the court case thing if I end up dating a new person in the future. I had a boyfriend when I was 19 that stole from me, the police officer who got my stuff back from the pawn shop told me that next time I found a potential boyfriend to call up and say the guy had just sumbitted a job application to me and could they please tell me if he had a criminal record - just to be safe. I never actually did that though.

They actually have info like that online? Isn't that a privacy issue? Wow! I need to start trying that stuff out. So you go to the town that they are living and they have all this info, or could the guy be married and you still not know if you call? What info or how much do they actually give you? I'm totally suprised.

Anything that has gone through the courts has public access: criminal records, traffic infractions, civil, family, probate, real estate, etc. You will only see the basic details with the basic search - name, date, reason. No details. But basic is enough in most cases. This is done through most county courts.

When I was online dating I would always look up the real estate stuff and verify that they were who they said they were and not living with a wife - but this was on a separate site called property appraiser. The other court stuff I learned later on from watching Candi do that with an online prospect.

I am no longer participating in any kind of online dating - but this is a good skill to know!!

How is your heat, Catherine? I was worried about you because I didn't see your entries for a few days and I remember reading about the heating woes right before that.
