HI to all:

There are certainly a lot of good movies playing now - if you have seen a movie (or movies!) that you have liked or disliked - tell us about it! Can be out in theatre or rental.

I went and watched Break Up last night and thought it was good. Anyone else seen that?

I used to live in a no-cable area, so I started doing Netflix, and when I moved, I continued it, so I watch a lot of movies, but I'm terrible about staying "up-to-date".

I'm ashamed to admit I only just saw Ray, which I liked, but didn't love.

I took the kids to see Over the Hedge, but I think we're (finally) starting to outgrow talking animals. Talking Cars, however, are a totally different story, and I'm excited for that to come out on dvd.

In my area, going to the movies isn't really as economical as waiting for it to come out, since driving to the theater and then paying for the movie (not to mention the "treats") would pay for the DVD about 4 times (we're about 30 miles from the nearest theater). Going to the movies is a definite treat for my kids, so it is a real bummer if we don't like the movie.

Needless to say, we own a lot of movies, and Netflix is our friend. In fact, that reminds me to send last night's movie back tomorrow!

That is a good point about buying a DVD. And kids watch them over and over and over and over!!

Sometimes when DS is with his dad or at a friends house I sneak out to a movie by myself - otherwise we are not big on the theatre together - for some reason he doesn't like to go. He likes to stay home!! So I guess I am really lucky that way.

I will have to check out Netflix!

I saw Click 2 weeks ago (I think) that movie was so so good. It really makes you think about your family and what you're doing with your life. I highly reccommend this movie. I cried twice which I did not expect since it was an adam sandler movie....VERY GOOD!

I saw Break Up. It was OK. It wasn't the comedy I thought it was going to be. We went and saw Pirates last Friday. It was GREAT!! The first Pirates has always been a favorite of mine. Johnny Depp is hilarious as a prissy Jack Sparrow! This is one movie I could watch over and over!

Walk the Line is another favorite of mine. I have seen it in the theatres and watched the DVD several times. Joaquin Phoenix nails the part of Johnny Cash and I really like Reese Witherspoon.
