Jennie,

Well the new guy, David, is an old schoolmate, he remembers me, I don't remember him, lol. He remembers holding my hand when I was 15 at a school

HI,

Welcome. I too have BPD, although it's not terrible severe, my mental illness has definelty effected relationships I have been in. All I can say is Thank God for new medications, and the right therapist.
IT sounds like you have your hands full with your kids, work, your ex... everything. I hope we can be supportive and encouraging to you.

Hello Tonihan,

Thanks for the welcome, and for sharing with me.

any illness can affect a person's life, and mental health is just one of those taboos that people do not understand....

hugs,

Stephanie

Recovery, as we currently understand it, means growing beyond the catastrophe of mental illness and developing new meaning and purpose in one’s life. It means taking charge of one’s life even if one cannot take complete charge of one’s symptoms…. Recovery is a deeply personal, unique process of changing one’s attitude, values, goals and skills and or/roles.
