Well...new guy is pretty good!
Last Saturday I was having a terrible day at work. It started off with me over sleeping and then racing around every where. He had called me at about 9:30 that morning (when I had to be at work in less than an hour) and heard how fretful I was behaving. Even though all of my stress of running around, trying to get ready, getting dd ready, etc., he made me smile. I finally made it to work with no time to spare, and an hour later I received a dozen long stem pink roses from him. The card said "I just want to make you smile." Well...needless to say, from then on out I was beaming! It was so very sweet.
Last night we kinda got into it though, for no apparent reason. I really don't know what was going on other than he was stressed and having a bad day and seemed to be on edge. He had come over to my house, but only stayed maybe 15 mins. before he left, which was a little baffeling to me. I thought...well...he's going through something and I'm just going to let him cool off. It wasn't even 5 mins. later that he was calling me and apologizing for being weird. He said that he had had a bad evening and didn't mean to take it out on me. Things happen and I wasn't really angry at him, just at the fact that he was so weird, you know. But, he con't to say that he really liked me and didn't want to do anything to mess this up, etc. He ended up coming back over and watching tv with me...lol!
I called it a short night b/c I had to be up early. But...he called me when he got home to chat for a few mins. He asked me the question...you know, the where is this going what do you want question...lol. I played it by ear, not wanting to seem to eager or anything. He told me that he really liked me, really liked spending time with me, and didn't want to see other people. So, I guess we're together...lol.
I'm still going to take this as slow as possible, and I told him that. While it's okay to not see other people, I still don't want to jump the gun and rush anything. Maybe it's a defense mechanism for me, who knows, but it seems to be working out.
Have a great day ladies!
Kait

Aw, how wonderful, Kait!
Now, THAT's what I'm talkin' about! And how sweet of him to send you flowers when you were having a bad day! It sounds like he's a really great guy!
How many times can I use an exclamation mark before it gets old?? It's very exciting, though, isn't it?
I agree, take it slow, and it's nice that he initiated the conversation, and you "played it by ear"
Congratulations, and keep us posted- to borrow a phrase- we love details!
