He's Afraid to Meet my Kids

At least I think he is. And my kids arent particularly scary either. RG wont do anything with me that involves my kids. He hasnt said he wont but he avoids it. I have asked hundreds of times and he says he will but when the time comes he always has an excuse or cant be contacted. He's good at avoidance.

So I wonder, why doesnt common sense get the better of me? Why is it I keep hanging on to him and hoping something will come of it?

WHAT??????????!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, I'm sorry if I seem really rude, but...

NOOOOOO SEX??????????????????
YOU MUST BE JOKING?? After 18 months, no sex???
No freaking way. I consider it worse then a FWB!

And don't expect to meet Mr. Chemistry with the first or second guy you test the waters with. If EMT doesn't do it for you, someone else will AND will knock your socks off in bed to boot!

I think youre funny too and I could use it now.

No sex?! Sad but true. We got close twice. One time I ran out of time and had to go to work. The 2nd time he stood up and said I cant do this. Actually it was 'lets go get ice cream'. I laugh now...cause I am not sure whether to laugh or cry. Ice Cream?! Ice cream was the last thing on my mind at the time.

I also feel it is better to date men who have kids. They usually get the kids can get in the way thing. Plus, at my age, dating a man in his forties who doesn't have kids usually means a guy who is really set in his ways.

Laurie, Laurie, Laurie....

I stepped away from Cute Newly Divorced Gal cold turkey. She is a soul friend. The ringing phrase from this board gave me the guidance, "If she's a priority and I'm only an option then it will not work." I was always the option.

We keep in touch now but I did cold turkey for 3 months. She's a great person but she's not relationship material.

I have Cute Widow and I am blessed and lucky to find her. I know I would not have met her if I was still hanging on with CNDG.

Think of this...One, two, three, ...years from now when you wake up and find yourself in the same place as today. Do you want that?

Let him go Laurie.

Mark

(((Mark)))

I know how hard it was for you to walk away from CNDG. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Or, as West has often said, and Pac~Sun said just yesterday:

'You can't expect Mr. Right to park in the parking spot of your heart if Mr. Wrong is already parked there'

Or something like that... I'm sure I screwed it up ;-)
