Hi Folks,
Thanks for helping steady my nerves. He got back last night and we had dinner. Called twiice on his way in, "I'll be there in an hour," then "I'll be there in half and hour." Which seemed a good indicator that he was eager to see me. He was a lot more interested in kissing me than having dinner, which was reassuring, but then I burnt dinner because he was kissing me. What a happy problem to have. He ate the charred tenderloin with no complaints...The wine I pickes was good. (A Vihno Verde from Portugal, great for less than $10/bottle for a summer white wine)

All in all, I didn't have anything to worry about, It's amazing how I can let worries build in my mind. It's some snow-balling thing that happens once in a while, not often with me.

He was more interested in asking me all the details about our little life here at home than telling about his grand adventure, but he did say that he'd share a bit at a time. He brought back a bunch of cool souviners for me and me son, all of which were very thoughtful. I am the most practical woman I know, I have only one necklace that a friend made for me in a beading class, no other jewelry, until last night that is!He was ver nervous , he said buying jewelry for me, but was sure that I'd probably like it. He got me a couple very pretty bracelets and a necklace made of tiger eye beads. It was so thoughtful, I have never been given jewelry by a man before.

It's so good to feel loved and appreciated. Seems when I am in a relationship I stop being the brave independent woman that I am when I am single. I need to find a balance. That's definitely something I learned about my self this month he's been away.

Thanks again for your supportive posts.
Ubers

Oh, forgot.

When we were talking, he was going over some things about his dad's side of the family, who are apparently handfuls for the younger generation to deal with. He keps saying, "you'll see when you meet them..." He only ever sees them at major holidays, so that's a good sign he's serious.

I watered his plants when he was gone, and offered him his key back. He said, " Oh, I made that copy for you."

Feeling reassured and happy,

Awesome! :) I'm so glad things are going so well for you! I think that we all get a little out of whack because of past experiences. Glad that this one is different! :)

Keep us posted.

Sounds like things are moving along really well! And the crazies are not seeping in, so I'm thrilled for you two!

Very Awesome for you! I'm so HAPPY for you! THE things he said and did shows he is REALLY into you and that should mean A LOT more because you know it's not the way he is to show those things.
