Just thought I'd share that our Andrea (comountainsprite) and I got to meet for dinner last night! She and her dd and Ty and I all got together for some Italian and conversation after a 3rd in a row LONG stressful day at a hospital (I haven't been around much lately because Ty has been participating in an extensive medical program in Denver for his asthma/allergies/eczema and other issues) It was

That's great that you and Andrea were able to get together. It sounds like you needed the break with all Ty has been going through.
I can honestly say that the nicest vacation I ever took was when me and my exh went to Colorado and Arizona. We flew into Denver and spent 3 days in Colorado. We stayed at a Condo in Estes Park. My favorite part of the trip was when we spent the day hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. I have the most awesome pictures! Then we drove from Colorado to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon. No offense to anyone, but I enjoyed the Colorado part of that trip more than the Arizona part. And I have vowed to myself and my children then when they are a little bit older, I WILL take them to see Rocky Mountain National Park. I have showed them the pictures of how we're in shorts but were holding snow in our hands up in the moutains, and they are totally amazed by that. I also have a friend I used to work with that lives in Colorado. It's not an "if" issue, it's a "when" issue. I will definitely go back to Colorado some day because I loved it so much and I want to share that with my kids. So, when I do, I would be honored to spend some time with you and Ty.

Hi Donna! I just saw this. Been out. Oops. ;)
I've stayed in Estes Park and been to the national park several times. Backpacked overnight there a few times too. It's my favorite thing to do in this state! I am glad you got to come. Too funny about being in shorts and playing with snow. That's not just there either. After big snowstorms here, you will see people outside in the sunshine and shirtsleeves shoveling it all away.
Come come come!!!! I'd meet you in Denver or Boulder! ;)
Did you see my backpacking pictures when I posted them in the bragging folder?
