Don't forget my prince charming was an enlisted guy and I'm proud of his former sergeant rank!! Of course he was 17 when he got in and 25 when he got out. I think you had enough issues besides his rank and just not the right feeling about the guy you wrote about so I definitely think you probably made the right decision. I'm just saying as you know my dh is the real thing--honorable, loving, devoted, a hard worker, smart, sensitive, a wonderful musician, a fabulous cook, a great father . . . and was an enlisted guy. ;) Actually he's teased me because everyone in his family was in one branch of the military, his dad was in the Navy (and his grandpa on that side was a high ranking commissioned officer), his brother was in the Marines, he was in the Army, but he teases me that he wouldn't have been able to date me if I'd been in the military even after he was out because I would have been an officer for sure with my education LOL.

I'll have to take back what I said about not dating enlisted men. My high school boyfriend went into the marines as enlisted (his father was an officer) and daughters father is enlisted in the Navy Seals and his father was an officer. I have a few more friends that didn't want any part of being an officer like their fathers, but still, I find that sometimes due that my father was a Colonel, most guys wouldn't even date a Colonels Daughter. I think your right that you can't just say enlisted or not enlisted, it depends on the guy and yours is a winner anyways! :) I just tend to notice that sometimes enlisted men don't have the same focus as I do. But never say never. I just told my mom last week that if I date a guy and he is enlisted, then who cares, as long as he's a good guy. I just have always had hang-ups about my Dad treating them really bad. Which he does. Kind of the Clint Eastwood act and all that jazz. Makes me feel that enlisted guys are losers. But you are right. Like I said, I have had my share of great guys in my life that were enlisted, I just have to learn to get rid of the hang-up with my family. They are VERY VERY VERY SNOBBY! And I am the BLACK SHEEP. LOL!
