Cool, Lee. Love that you are getting a good response w/OLD. I did the same thing when I found myself dating for the first time in my life at age 45 (met XH at age 14 so I never really dated at all). I too, hid my profile while I tweaked it and took a good month to work up the nerve to actually post it. Just have fun and forget about FK.

Good for you! Being on OLD requires a thick skin, so keep up with your smart n sassy attitude! You will enjoy it, and hopefully sink a good one. :)

I've been tweaking my profile, too, and will get back out there in a few weeks once the semester is finished. I'm getting excited. Like you, I've browsed around and found a few I will send a shout out to, but after the "hi", the ball is in their court. I don't like the whole me doing the initial email, but I live in a VERY big metro area (the HQ of match is here), so kinda have to in order to get noticed.

Anyway, I bought two dating books this afternoon. So far, there are good tips. I will let you know if they are worth your time.
