HMMMM on the job front

Well, I am having a rough time making ends meet. I have been for a while but it is getting to be a bit tiresome. I have had a recruiter trying to get me to interview for a job that I didn't think I was interested in. I scheduled the interview initially and then canceled. She now is calling me about another position. So I checked out the web site and noticed that the position that I had previously declined is not quite what I thought and may be a pretty good opportunity even though the job is further away and maybe a bit more stressful. Right now I get lots of time off and have a very flexible schedule. That is great but if I have trouble keeping up with everything and we never have any extra, that isn't really doing very good by the kids.

Although I have been excited about the educational aspects and applied to part time studies here, I don't know if that will just be too difficult for me to manage over the next few years until I actually finish or move up here. So I called her back and she will call the firm that has a new position to see if they can meet my salary requirements and will call the firm I canceled on to see if they are still interested. It is a very specific set of skills that you really don't find very often. They haven't even found anyone to interview. We shall see if they are even remotely interested at this point.

So I may be moving on from my laid back job. Hopefully it will be a good thing for me.

Sounds like a stressful decision for you. I was wondering if you could get something part time to boost what you are doing now - since it sounds good that you can take more classes and have a flexible schedule. But that might be easier said than done. I hope that something good comes for you and that you are happy and more prosperous with what you decide. Keep us posted!!

Oh wow - good luck with the interview tomorrow.

Your day is long. For some reason I thought what you were doing now was a lot less than that.

Keep us posted!

My day is long but about 2 hours of it is commuting (drop the kids, ride to park and ride lot, catch a bus, walk to my building then reverse in the afternoon).
