Hogging the board...

Sorry, I'm hogging the board, but yesterday I felt SOOO bad, because I finally had to tell two of the guys I was seeing that I wasn't into them. WOW! Now I understand why sometimes men just ghost. It's sooo awkward and when one of them called, I didn't pick up. I just let go to vm and then I told him over chat. Isn't that just soooo immature?? I don't know, I really felt bad, but I can't lead someone on and stay with them JUST because they like me and I don't like them. UGH! Anyone else have any stories of where YOU had to tell a guy: sorry, but I just don't "like" you that way....

Ugh is right!

I guess the biggest reason a person would ghost rather than say, "thanks, but no thanks" is so they don't have to deal with the "but why?" that most people will ask. No one wants to hurt someone by saying they're not into someone else.

BTW, is Judy completely off the board now? I haven't seen her in ages since her resignation from the board.

Yea, I've had to do it. It's best IMO. I mean ...no one likes being ghosted on and I figured that stringing anyone along is worse. In my past I gave it maybe two dates..and then when I was not feeling chemistry I would just say I'm sorry but its not going to work out but

No nickname for him yet. I was going to call him J, but I remember Alison's X is named J, so I decided to not do that one. No copy cat'ing. :) So I'll wait it out. Usually they come to me right away, but I'm sure I'll come up with something good. He just contacted me and said that we are going to go to Firebirds. YAY, great food! He always tells me what he's wearing, so that I know what the mood is casual or dress up. HEHHE. So far we had one casual, one dress up and tonight. I have always worn pants, so third night is a dress; new dress. :) And my favorite Italian golden shoes. YAY!. I'm yaying alot lately.

He wants to pick me up again, but he lives closer to the restaurant then I do. He'd have to dash to my house, pick me up and then drop me off again, when he only lives around the corner. Do you think it would be dumb of me to ask to meet him their or someplace else and go from their? Thoughts?

I have been pretty direct in telling women that I don't think this is a match.

I would probably call him and tell him that he does not HAVE to come all the way over to pick you up unless he wants to...because of theclose
