How is that for an entry? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG

Okay - this guy is hot. He is so hot I would not usually date someone with pix like that. I mean, he looks like a Calvin Klein underwear model.

I can't believe I just typed that.

Anyway, I liked that he wrote me a cute note saying he noticed the brand wheels and helmet I was wearing in my bike shot on OLD and he said that means I am serious and then he asked what bike computer I have. I thought that to be hilarious so I emailed back and we bantered stuff about our sport and training.

But then you remember I came back here and was worried because of the reputation of the lifeguards. I probably bugged everyone about that. I think so far so good from what I can see.

He called today and we chatted - he wanted to know what I was doing - and I said running errands. Now the truth be told that I was at the office supply store buying a new mouse because the dogs chewed my other one. LOL!!

Okay - and he was on his way to another city to visit friends. We discussed our schedules and figured out that tonight was good because DS was with his dad. He made time for me and was flexible and accomodating - he got big points for being accomodating.

Okay - so basically the plan was to meet around 7 but he would call around 5 to confirm and to see where I wanted to go. At 5:23 there was no call and I was supposed to bike and swim and run today and all I had done was to clear the huge pile of paper off my desk. So, I hit the pool and did my whole swim which took me til 6:35. Then I decided to check the voicemail on my cell. He had left a message so I called him back.

We are to meet at 8 and okay I can do that. It is now 6:45 and I have to leave the house in 40 minutes. I had huge racoon rings under my eyes from the swimming goggles and my eyes are bloodshot from the chlorine. I put frozen cookie dough on them and drank a lot of water and that made them better. Lesson to self - pick one of the other two sports right before a date!

I decided to dress conservative - put on these fun new long shorts and a camisole top and flat shoes.

Made it out the door and to meet him on time. We met at a fun arcade type place. He said it is always better when you have something to do.

Okay - and he had it in his mind that we are going to play pool! Probably not a problem for many readers. But for me OH MY! I have never played pool - although I used to love to go out with my sister and watch her whip the pants off every guy in the bar. I guess I never learned because I am not good with a ball and had so much fun watching her.

Anyway, he taught me to play. And I actually had fun and he let me win 2 games out of 4. We just had a great time. He was flirting with me and very much on the ball to make sure I had everything I needed - that was a really nice surprise. He reminded me that he really liked my pix and that I looked great and that my legs looked like they could kill him on the bike.

Then we chatted for a bit and found out we are both the same pace on the bike and run. He reads the same sport forum that I belong to and he knows my coach - and he almost died when he found out I had that coach because he is known to be a real tough guy and so we had a laugh. He wants me to ride with him and to do one of the races he is doing.

So then it was time to go. And I was not the make out girl this time like I was with FF. We gave each other one hug and one quick kiss. I could tell he was taken with me and he said he definitely wants to see me again. And that I should email him my bike schedule.

I like that we could have fun together and flirt and be competitive. We got along. There was no discussion of relationships past and that was good. Focus on the present. I think this is a good lesson for all of us - just see if you can have fun and click on the first date.

His drinking seemed to be in order, too. He only had 3 beers and we were together 4 hours. When I switched to water he did too. We also had a bite to eat.

So this is good for a first date. I am not sure where it will go. Only time will tell us.

I plan to keep dating as many people as I can until I find one who is so into me that he wants to be exclusive and I with him. I remind myself that is the name of the game and I have to be patient.

The date sounds like a lot of fun! I like that you were willing to try something you hadn't ever done, and that he was willing to teach you.

Being on the same pace athletically is great- it will continue to give you something to talk about and/or do together, and I like that he recognized you were serious and a good athlete.

You did a great job of enjoying the moment, and you don't seem to be overthinking anything- way to go!

Have fun with this, as far as it goes.

Moody, making a mental note to buy cookie dough

Wow! Sounds very cool. I think it's great if you can be on the same page with the same interests, etc. Can't wait to read the next thread with the next update. :)
