I met a guy this Saturday who is Hot Hot Hot. I couldn't take my eyes off him.... LOL. Let me tell you the story...
So my karaoke girl friend was on the prowl... she said she had spent too many weekends alone, called me up and wanted to go out to meet guys, she said. We had fun... The funniest part was when she was dancing to "Baby Got Back", she ripped her pants. ROLF. She needed a ride home to change, and I wasn't going to do it since I had a couple drinks. A guy friend of ours found someone who would give her a ride. When she got back, I notice that he was friends with the Hotty. Hmmm. maybe we should meet them both. Actually, my friend wasn't interested in the guy who gave her the ride, but he had another friend who was cute, too.
Let me back up a bit, when we first got to karaoke, I spotted a cutie pie playing pool... i couldn't take my eyes off him.. it's so funny. But seriously, from head to toe, he was HOT. I don't think he noticed and I was casually hoping that he would look my way so that I could smile, etc. But my friend on the prowl said, "I'm going to introduce myself". I just told her don't steal my guy. So, she went right up to them and started talking to them. Then, they look over my way, she points me out, and they wave. How embarrassing. But what was cool was my hottie came over to my table and said "Let me make this easy for you...." He introduced himself and asked me to sit with him and his friends. His name is Richard. After we hung out for a bit, they asked if we wanted to go to another bar. So we did.
We had lots of laughs. Anyway, after we exchanged phone numbers, Richard, asked me to call him. But after everything I've learned on this board, I said, No, it's the guys job to call the girl. And he said, "oh, i thought it was the other way around." "What?!", I was thinking. I told him, no, if the guy is interested, he calls.... that's how it works. Okay, so he said he would call me after I dropped my friend off and probably leave some lame voice message. Which is what happened because I didn't hear the phone ring. And I was tired so I haven't called back, yet. He also said, and how many days are you going to ignore my calls ...
So, in this case I should call him back, right? I'm thinking of giving him a call today. I know my friend said she was calling her guy yesterday. I feel slightly bad that I let her do all the work... while I tried to look casual. But I couldn't stop her if I tried. She was just in one of those moods AND she didnt have a drop to drink.
Final thought: I know looks aren't everything.... but he was Hotcha Hotcha. I'm hoping he wants to go out on a real date... but I'll wait for him to ask me.

GOOD advice - especially this part:
"if you don't want a misunderstanding with your new guy friend, don't tell it to your friend!"
BRAVO -- loonybunny, are you listening?
I appreciate the words from experience... that's exactly what I was starting to worry about. I don't want that kind of miscommunication to happen. So I will start being aware of what I say to her in that area.
let's get back to drooling over mr hotty.
