Are you getting hints of spring in the air yet?

What are the "Signs of spring" that you eagerly anticipate or do you not anticipate spring and actually enjoy winter? :)

Well, Becky, I actually adore winter because it is the best time of year in FL. Spring is okay, too.

We just had the most gorgeous weekend here - mid 70s, sunny, warm, lovely. I was on a long long bike ride and saw an alligator!! He was adoring the sunshine, too.

My finger tips are frozen and I don't feel spring anywhere close yet :( I have the heat low because I'm praying I don't have to refill the oil tank this season, it was low last time I checked and it cost $450 to fill it in November.

I had a great weekend. I went out with my bf on Friday night and he's doing much better. He slept all day Saturday (but still, the fact he was awake for Friday night was good). We got up to eat lunch (we talked about breakfast but neither of us actually got up - remember I can sleep a lot too), and then we both went back to sleep after we ate lunch. I finally left around dinner time to go run some errands and do some stuff at my house but he kept right on sleeping. Then he got up Sunday early (this is major progress). He called in the afternoon to report he was awake and had been all day, and we went out to dinner. Then he was cleaning and organizing (more progress) and I did some reading, and then he joined me and we read and had a very relaxing evening together.

Today I had dd (it's my ex's week but he had to work, her preschool was closed and I had off). A mother from dd's school called to see if dd wanted to have a play date so we did that for the morning, and we went to see Winn Dixie in the afternoon. It held dd's attention for most of the movie (a big deal) and I bawled my eye's out (always a sign of a good movie IMHO).

So all together a great weekend. The only thing that could make it better is to WARM UP A LITTLE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.

I went shopping this weekend...for (oh my gosh) myself!!!! I could tell spring was in the air because all the pastel colors were out in full force at the mall. Oh and it could be the 80 degree weather here. Hmm, can't quite tell. I'm looking forward to starting my garden. My sis has told me I should have already started, but I've been slacking.

Glad to hear your b/f might be seeing a light at the end of his tunnel w/regards to depression. That would drive me UP A WALL if DH slept all day. He did that some when he was depressed while we were dating and it was so hard to overlook and not just give up on him. I guess I know where you're coming from.

Stay warm! Can't blame you on wanting to drop money on oil this late in the season. What area of the country are you in, anyway? I can't remember for some reason.

I went shopping this weekend too, and I HATED the "new colors" for this spring. My pardon to anyone who likes them, but these pastels that are everywhere have the effect of looking like "little old grandma" colors. Gag me!

I'm on the east coast.

I was feeling like giving up on my bf a few weeks ago, but then a friend reminded me this was the same thing he went through when his son first moved away (sleeping all the time) and that since he just had his first visit, it's probably a similar experience. My therapist was helpful in understanding what it might be like to have that kind of depression. There is still no word on where this relationship is headed, but it was a great weekend and I'll just take that for what it was.

It's HOT HOT HOT here. And our A/C doesn't work. BUT I contacted the home warranty place and we are getting a brand new unit for $150 because it is covered and it comes tomorrow. It's stifling in the meantime, but at least we have ceiling fans and it cools down some at night.

This is VERY true. And I am VERY redheaded (just did my hair again last night) so anything pastel makes me look like a ghost with red hair. It's sick. LOL
