We want to hear all about your day! Share here please. Good Bad and Ugly all welcome. I know some times there are things that happen that you just really need to explode about. We're all ears (or eyes. Whatever. ;)

Mine was WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL!!!!
This was the best Christmas I've had in probably 10 years. Or more!
Jas and I are getting alone. Ty was just a DREAM to watch him open his gifts and GASP with joy (the child even gets excited about new underwear) and J and I both treated each other to some special gifts. We usually don't spend much, but kind of cut loose this year. J got his playstation 2 and new game and some tools and I found him a gorgeous new shirt and tie. (can't wait to take him out to dinner) and he got me new shoes (nice ones. And yes ladies, they are EXACTLY what I would have picked out, and comfortable and fit me!) and the newest Norah Jones CD and a book and a leather coat! (I have never even thought to have one but I love it)
Ty looked like a teenager all weekend, with his new portable cd player stuck to his ears and his new Gameboy in hand. I did allow him free use, but he knows it'll be regulated soon. That kid would overdo anything.
Family time was INCREDIBLE! We went to church on Christmas Eve and it was a perfect evening service. Candlelit hymn singing. Just beautiful. Then to my mom's for the evening for our traditional cookies and egg nog (juice for me please!) and cheese ball and crackers. Listened to music and visited and played cards then opened gifts. Lovely.
Christmas morning with Ty and Jas was great. And then rushed around to make what turned out to be a pretty danged good christmas brunch if I do say so myself for my MIL and J's Gram and MIL's husband. That went extraordinarily well.Mother in law almost never comes to my house and is usually looking for an excuse to leave w/in an hour. She stayed until 3 in the afternoon. Then I rushed around to prepare my part of mom's dinner and back to her house for big family and friends dinner. We were there for the rest of the day.
Yesterday church and then relaxed with a nap and football game and leftovers. And then my sister from Chicago came over to spend some time with me. She and I went downtown and walked around and then had a great dinner and then went back to my house for evening visiting and watching movies together.
I could NOT have asked for a better Christmas. Not in a million years.
Every thing turned out great!
I didnt have my boys until Christmas day so Christmas eve I was with Jerry and his 3 kids. We had a pretty casual day - we went to the movies- we went and saw Meet the Fockers (his kids are older) and the movie was OK not as funny as we had hoped. Then Jerry and I THREW together a easy turkey dinner - Jerry and I shared a bottle of wine he bought from when we went wine tasting earlier in the fall and it was yummmmmy :) We then opened all the presents and his kids were all pleased with what they got. Jerry gave me very nice gifts - the movie Son in law ( I love that movie ), a new robe, gift card to Kohls from all 3 of his kids, and I collect Betty Page memoriabilia- so he framed a picture of her and gave me a T-shirt to wear at night. :) ALL nice and I was very happy...he felt bad he didnt do more??? I said it was perfect :) I got him a bit more but I could because I had extra money after closing on my house so I had fun splurging on everyone! I probably wont be able to do that again. Anyway after the gift giving Jerry and I and his daughter Jill joined me at my church and they had the perfect service-- a famous Christian singer and his band played all Christmas carols and very simply told the story of Christmas...Jerry and Jill enjoyed themselves.
Then Christmas day I rushed home to cook my scalloped corn I bring every year to my parents. AND Anxiously awaited my boys that I missed terribly because they had been gone with thier dad since the 17th! They arrived and hugged me and begged to open one present before we were to leave for my parents house. I allowed them to open the big one-- xbox and then we left to my parents where there were about 25 of us. Jerry came after he brought his kids to his exes. It was very nice :) Kids loved playing with their cousins. I enjoyed catching up with relatives and everyone seemed to enjoy Jerry and my brother and sister in law gave Jerry a bottle of wine and they gave me 4 wine glasses so the 4 of us shared that! :) Was very nice... Christmas night I had my first fire in my fireplace and the boys opened their gifts and quickly jumped on the xbox! Jerry and his dog came over for the night and it was wonderful-- his FIRST night EVER to spend the night at my place...and that just topped it all off for me!
All in all I had a blessed holiday!!
I hope yours was just as wonderful!!

He's had a blast with Dylan. He's such a good father to him. So loving and supportive. I never expected such a great man to come into my life and to think I almost wrecked it by continuing to date that loser, Z. But I realized that before it was too late and I got the good one!
We've had so much fun with D's new toys. And even staying up late, late, late to assemble them was fun. Shane and my mom and I all stayed up. Daddy went to bed, so he and Dylan were the only ones "awake" Christmas morning. The rest of us were dragging our colective butts. But we made it and watching his eyes was a real treat.

Christmas was absolutely wonderful.
Christmas Eve TT's dad and step-mom were with us from Tuscon, we had both boys. We hung out and just had a nice day. We went to the candlelight service at church, came home and had a nice meal. My parents weren't able to join us - first time I haven't been with them on Christmas Eve ever - my dad was really sick. Got the boys to bed and started cooking.
Christmas morning was great. The boys opened their gifts and played, we had a nice breakfast and my mom came over and we cooked. Left the boys and went with my mom, TT, and my brother to visit my niece. It was a very sad day for her. She opened the gifts we brought her, she was allowed to keep the socks, a puzzle, and a book - and the pictures we brought her. She wasn't allowed to eat any of the goodies we brought in. We all cried when visiting hours were over. Went home, finished cooking, and we had 20 over for dinner and a steady stream of people in and out from 3:00 p.m. with the last of the guests leaving at 1:00 a.m. FABULOUS day. Great time!
I must admit thought - I was so thankful this morning to know everyone was gone! I went to work and then had to come home to take care of Jojo - who has a stomach bug - and I'm getting my house back in order. :)
Now for New Year's!!! WHOO HOO!

She wasn't allowed to eat any of the goodies we brought in....I don't understand Min. Why can't she have goodies?
Ashley is still in my prayers. I've been thinking about her and your sister a lot lately.
Hope JoJo's doing better!
What's on the agenda for New Years?
Her diet is very special - as they believe certain foods (sugar/dairy/fatty foods) have negative effects (can counteract) on the meds she is on. Once she is stabilized on meds, things will be re-introduced, slowly, one at a time, to make sure there are no weird side effects. Once it was explained to us, it was fine, but it was something we felt we should have known ahead of time. We brought her a plate of deviled eggs and 7up salad (a family tradition) and sweet potato casserole as well as some of our traditional family Christmas goodies and she couldn't eat it. It was very upsetting to her. We did receive good news that she is ready to be moved into long-term care, where she will have more freedom and privileges, including home visits. If things progress the way they are right now - she'll be allowed a 4 hour home visit on Saturday, January 29. And by then - she'll be able to eat whatever she wants.
New Year's Eve . . . . ahhhhh! It's our favorite day of the year - and last year we were both sick in bed with two sick kids!!!!!!!
We're having dinner at the World Famous Smith & Wolensky steak house, and then we have tickets to see Alanis Morisette!!!! I can hardly wait!!!!!!

New Year's Eve sounds great. Shane and I were originally going to let his mom watch D and we were going to a party at a friend's house near Ft. Worth. But His aunt Sharon called and announced her younger son (Michael)and his wife and kids who never come to town are flying in from Milwaukee to have the last part of the holidays here and his b-day is NY's Eve. So we're all changing our plans to see them. It's fine with me because I've never met them and I love Shane's family. I think Shane is a little bummed that there can't be beer there since his aunt and uncle have an issue with alcohol being served in their home, but I'm sure the guys (Shane, Jason, Chris and Michael) will find a way to get some and keep it in a car to have. So that's where we will be. And Dylan will have two new cousins to play with that are around his age.

WOW!!! What a great new years night! That sounds fun!
I'll probably be going bowling with Jas and Ty (that's what Ty wanted to do). LOL!
I am so thrilled to hear that Ash will be allowed a home visit. There's a LOT to be said for comfort foods and being able to have them, not just think about them (or well, maybe that's just me!)
Awesome - I am so glad it turned out even better than you and all of us expected. Shane is a magician!!
Cheers!
