At least he was honest. You wouldn't want him to say what you wanted to hear only because he knew you wanted to hear it, right?

I don't follow football AT ALL but I do "get" the game. I understand the rules and how to play, I just don't watch it. I wouldn't even know who was playing in the Superbowl if it wasn't being talked about by EVERYONE who just finished throwing pink crap at their houses.

Also, since I think rooting for opposing teams could be fun, if I were going to watch with someone, and since I'm not vested in either team, I might root for the other team just for the heck of it. But I'm like that sometimes.

Whatever you decide to do, have fun!

Yeah, I would want him to throw his support behind the Bears, even if he didn't care a flip about them.

Men and sports and their choice of teams never made any sense to me. I would rather watch a bicycle race myself.

But if you don't feel you can be happy in his company - by all means do what you are doing and have a great time with your parents!! It is good for you to be a little independent anyway.

At least I am informed now as to who is playing!! :-P

Good! I don't blame you after that baseball game story.

It was me I would go for a run, swim or shopping!

Am I the only one here who loves watching sports?!??

I love football! I'm excited about the SuperBowl, even though all my favorite teams are knocked out of the running. I cheered for the Cowboys until they made me cry. Then it was the Saints... until they got knocked out, too! Now I guess I'm for the Colts, though I don't personally care who wins the Big Bowl. I just hope it's a good game and not a boring one!

I also love NBA... with the San Antonio Spurs as my favorite team, followed by the Dallas Mavericks. I didn't really care for the Mavs until I met Hiker- and he likes the Mavs. So now we follow both teams together because we know the other is cheering for them. It's REALLY fun when the Spurs and the Mavs play against each other, because we can then have fun ribbing each other all through the game!

And I never cared for basebal... but with Hiker liking the TX Rangers... sometimes I find myself watching that, too- just so I will know what he might talk about. I'm still not a baseball fan though. **yawwwn!!!**

I do love it that Hiker and I share our love of sports-watching. Makes for some fun times. I wouldn't like it if he didn't care for the teams, when I did. Or vice versa. I guess it's not important whether you're into watching sports or not- but that it works better if you and your partner SHARE the same interests on that matter. Just like everything else! It helps that you match!
