I got a job!

I got a job with wonderful contracting company. I don't remember how much info I initially gave when I first started visiting here, but I've been working on my masters in speech pathology (for what seems like an eternity.) I'll be finished with classes in a few weeks but my clinical work will spill over into the summer. I took an SLP position with a company which contracts therapists out to several area nursing homes and hospitals. I'll be finishing my clinical work with them and once my requirements are satisfied- probably sometime in June- I'll finally be getting a paycheck! The best part- I'll be making almost four times as much money as the man who left me for his computer! Normally I'm not a gloater but I need a few minutes with this one. I told Brian about it today- what a feeling! My five minutes to be on top after years of rejection and degredation.
Ok I'm back to normal now. Ladies, this means so much for me and my kids. Once I can save up some money, we'll be able to move out of my parents house and get our own place - finally. We can root somewhere take care of ourselves. It will no longer be Brian, or my parents even, deciding how things will be for the kids and me. (I love my parents and they have literally saved my children and me by letting us live here while I finish school but there have been some very bad situations going on this house as well that were not in anyone's best interest). We will pave our own way. I feel hope again.

I am sooo thrilled for you! This is a great moment. A really great moment. Bask in it as much as you want. Roll around in it. Enjoy this moment, because it truly is yours!

I can so understand what you mean about finally being on your own. I am counting the months when I am finally on my own with my girls. Just a little longer to go then freedom from my mother, my family, my X husband, his family. Just me and my girls and that is all I want.

I'm so proud of you! Big hugs again!!!!
