I had a fun weekend too

KM took me out on Friday - we went out to dinner to this cute Italian place and then to see Batman. We just had a great time and we did get a little cozy in the movies - he put his arm around me!! LOL!!

Saturday I had a funeral to go to - for my BIL's sister - it was so sad - because she was so young and her mom was there. I helped the family as much as I could - and then came home. It made me appreciate all that I have.

Sunday I had a long bike ride - 3 hours 52 miles - sorry Mark - just had to type that! LOL!! And then I decided to go shopping with my mom - my dad met up with us for tea and that was nice -we had a great visit - usually I am always taking DS and he is the focus - so it was good just to get the time with them.

After the tea I went to dinner with KM again and we had a really good talk about what we are looking for and how we both think we check off all of each other's boxes. We were talking to our kids in the middle of that as well - which I liked - he left the sweetest message for his daughter and he was concerned to hear about my son. We went for a drive and saw a lake that he wants to take me to for kayaking. We also agreed not to date anyone else. Frankly, there is not anyone else I would want to date right now and I feel most honored that he is so sincere. I had to scoot back here because the poor dogs had to be let out - but he wanted me to call again to make sure I got home okay. He is so nice.

Sorry about the loses in your family Judy. I believe death really causes a ripple effect in the family where it just affects everyone. Death also puts life into focus and how important relationships are.

It sounds KM is a real solid guy and the relationship is really progressing well. I hope things work out with him.

I want you to know that our bike route had a LOT of hills :-P. Plus we had to wait for a train to go by in order to continue our route. AND I just had a birthday so give an old man a break.

A lot of guys younger than you could not have ridden half of that - so I do give you a lot of credit - plus you didn't just freak out in the middle of it - good stuff.

And yes - he is solid - this one I am not settling on at all - I always thought I had such high standards - with athletics, brains, kindness, finances, family - and I have always given here and there on one of those with regrets later on - but this one really has all of that and more. Plus a lot of integrity to boot for making some tough decisions along the way - and plus he is a lot of fun - and comfortable to be with. Plus he likes me ;-) LOL!!!!

We were laughing because we met on match 6 years ago and I ghosted on him before the initial coffee date. I think that was the first time I tried OLD and it just flipped me out. But this time I really was able to relax because we were just kayaking and he was helping me pick out a boat - and then it progressed. He said that has to be the longest time in the history of match to go from writing to meeting - LOL!!

I love the update!

KM sound very sincere and real. I love hearing about him, as you have done such an amazing job of waiting it out, not sacrificing what you want and need, and then KM shows up and he has all of that. You so deserve this, and I hope that you two continue to get to knopw each other and that things work between you. I sense that this guy is solid and quality and he certainly is into you. Yaye!! Keep us posted!!

west,

Sounds like fun. Give us a review of Batman so we can decide if we want to see it.

Jealous of your bike ride. I got a 3 mile run in Sat am. Then missed my long run with my running partners because I was sick on Sunday. I made up for it today with a 10 miler alone. It felt great. BTW what do you ride? I ride this tank heave aluminum Giant OCR that I loaded down with gear for riding to work. My spoiled daughter has a feather light OCR carbon that I am jealous of. I need one for myself.

Glad to hear everyone had good weekends.

Yay on the great weekend! And congrats on being on the same page about becoming exclusive with each other! It's great when you both know you want to focus on each other only- and stop looking and looking and looking. Woohooo!

With all the weekend reports and updates... you almost need ANOTHER board section just for weekend stories! lol ;-) just kidding!
