I might have a date

Okay - the one on eharmony didn't join the other 128 unlucky candidates. He is nice - we completed the eharmony process this morning and then got to communicate by email and phone and he wants to meet me for a glass of wine.

He is a triathlete and single dad and loves to ride a bike and hike. Has his own business.

How in the world did you guys write so many messages on here today - I have so much to do plus a run plus have to get ready. I will have to write back to everything later. LOL!!!

WOW I was away fro a day and so much happen here.

This one sounds promising. Yes taking it slow is good too. Keep your options open though and keep dating others too if you like any.

Congrats on the great date West! Hope it turns into another one.

I was so busy last night I didn't have time for the computer but you bet...I was wondering!

The only thing I am on the fence about is that he does love extreme sports like mountain climbing and skiing. I do not like heights. I know we can share the fitness and some plain jane types of hikes - but I know I never want to climb a mountain. I think he has always wanted to share that - although he has really backed off what he does now compared to when he was younger and he has never found someone to share it and knows at his age it is unlikely he would find someone - so I am not sure. Maybe I have to bluntly put it that this is the way I am and I am not going to change - if you want a climbing companion that is not me. I want to be up front - see what is in his head.

Well, as we know, honesty is the best policy. Just tell him that you have enough experience to know that this is something you are not willing to do or try again. But that you hope that you'll enjoy many other similiarities together.

Okay- he writes this morning:
Enjoyed meeting you!
Hope you were able to get up to train :-)

And I said thanks for treating me to dinner and I enjoyed meeting you as well.

And he writes back:
You're welcome.
Was super thirsty on stairs this morning - must be the Asian food-thing.
Hope to get my riding back up to level you and I might enjoy together :-) and would be nice to get together soon, yes?

Wow, He sounds very interesting and active! Maybe you just feel him out a bit more before wondering too much about the mountain climbing companion deal. Sometimes in the begining I think people have a tendancy to just throw possible things out there like that..to see what kind of things we respond to, you know? I'm sure he's being real but this early, it's probably too soon to know how serious he is about wanting a Ms. Everest! lol!

Keep us posted on him! Too soon for him to get a nick name I guess :o)

Very cool that he is keeping in communication with you and interesting that he is planning to increase his training so that you are on par with each other!
