OMG did you ever have one of THOSE days?

My day started out with dealing with MA to get him to accept it is over and we are going to be civil. Done.

The pool was filled with an entire tree - I had to go out in the freezing cold and unclog the pump, scoop out the tree bits and put the vacuum cleaner in and net out a lot of stuff.

DS got home and we opened one more Xmas present I had found in a different closet - so that was fun. He did have a broken cell phone which was luckily handled under warranty - and he handled the call.

Then I was working on a lot of work and the phone is ringing off the hook. My sister calls because she wants to fly her whole family home early because her dog is sick - I am like - why? leave it there and stay put - there is nothing you can do that the vet can't do.

A huge order got shipped to me all damaged so I refused it and shipped it back - climbed in the back of a semi truck in my bedroom slippers and took a picture to argue with the vendor about not packing it correctly.

One of our printers broke and so the mechanic was here most of the night with parts all over the place and tons of questions.

I pulled out frozen dinners (these are ones I cook in big batches on better days and freeze ahead) and DS proceeds to tell me about his trip to see the xinlaws - which is full of their drama.

Meanwhile the dogs are into another trash can in another room and trash is all over the place.

And my coach wanted a hard run for time on the treadmill - I think I am going to tell him he has to wait until next week.

Did anyone else have a day like this?

I think it was 28 here, too. My hands were so cold when I had to get them wet and clean the pool. I hope this doesn't last too long. The thing is that we are more adapted to hot weather - so this is cold for us!

Thanks for your wishes. I hope you had a Happy New Year!

I feel your pain, Judy! Not today but I sure have had days like that- heck my recent vacation had its moments.
Can totally relate to the pool though- I spent part of my day fixing the pool vac yet again- freezing water. I swear the palm trees have to go! Or the pool is being filled with cement!
QueenBun- the poolvac has choked yet again- it'll wait til tomorrow.

Thanks soccermomlc - so far so good. The only mess was a cup of latte on DS's room floor when the dogs knocked me over. All is quiet right now and work is getting done.

I got up and wrote a chore list for DS and took his xbox360 controller - it is hostage until his stuff is done. :-)

No leaves in the pool yet.....

I've had a rough 3 weeks! LOL! My trip to Texas was awful, with my oldest DD's father giving me the worst time and it ending that his Lawyer Girlfriend was threatening me. She went as far as to tell DD's Dad that I CALLED HER??!?! My goodness! Needless to say, I cut the ties of the entire family for now, including DD's grandmother. I didn't want to do that, but something hasn't been right and she asked DD to lie to me about going against rules that I set. DD told me and I just blew a fuse because I raise my children to be honest at all times, which my oldest always is and it made me so angry to see they were trying to go behind my back on specific things that I said No too. Then of course threats to me from DD's Dad saying he is going to fight custody. WHATEVER. Even if he did, DD is 14 now and it's her choice. She would never go with him. She has already gone as far as to request space and breaking contact with him for now.

My best friend decided she didn't want to see me, because she didn't want to leave her boyfriend of a year alone for 2 hours. She said he would be lonely. I said, bring him! For goodness sake, we all went to High School together. She said No. Then sister was really ill and my brother inlaw had a awful allergy reaction and needed to go to the hospital and got a shot, so needless to say, it was just time to go back to NC.

I drove two days, hardly any sleep (kids were awesome in the car) and then the whole issues with Nascar. NYE was another bust because we all decided to stay in but I never got fireworks because I was too tired and Nascar had to work longer then what he was told. We did all go to dinner, but then later we just sat around and he was being a bit selfish and unnerving with stuff. It wasn't bad, just kind of disappointing. Of course on NY Day it continued and I decided I just needed the rest of the week to myself. It continued with sick kids, having to work anyway and dealing with Nascar issues. I still have loads of school work to do and I just have no ambition right now. I'm also flying to Chicago on business next week and was given a global project that is crazy unorganized. I'm supposed to feel relaxed, but I feel overwhelmed. I'm just glad its Friday. My house is a mess and I want to finish it before the weekend arrives.
